Abstract: A fire-safe container includes a polymer polymeric IBC within a metal overpack. The metal overpack includes a manway surrounding a plurality of ports. Each port is on a projection form the polymeric IBC that extends into the manway through an aperture. A collar is disposed in each aperture between the projection of the polymeric IBC and the sides of the aperture such that the port is retained in the manway and preventing the port from contacting or collapsing through the aperture. The manway includes a burst disc to release pressure when there is pressure buildup. One of the ports can provide another burst disc to relieve pressure in the polymeric IBC. The polymeric IBC burst disc can release at a pressure that is greater than the pressure at which the manway burst disc releases.

Abstract: A modular multi-compartment cosmetics container assembly may have plurality of layers configured to releasably couple to each other, permitting a user to attach and detach various different compartment layers, or to just shuffle multiple compartment layers that may store different items into more desirable positions in the arrangement. Releasable attachment is provided by each compartment layer being formed with a hinge pin proximate to a top portion of a side wall of the compartment, and a hinge knuckle disposed proximate to a bottom portion of the side wall, where the hinge knuckle has an opening permitting it to clip onto the hinge pin of the adjacent compartment layer. A latch releasably secures each compartment layer in a closed position. Each hinge knuckle and latch may be pivotally mounted to its compartment layer, permitting movement into a retracted position, so the compartment can sit flush on a flat surface.

A film may be applied to connect the load with the pallet and to connect neighboring stacked layers together. The film may be wrapped around the pallet and/or layers of containers with a wrap profile having different characteristics, such as for example, containment forces; tensions; numbers of layers, and/or locations of layers with respect to the load, the pallet, and/or each other.

The wafer separator may include a first-right angled recess for receiving a semiconductor wafer that extends downward from a top surface of the circular ring. The wafer separator may also include a second right-angled recess for maintaining a gap beneath the semiconductor wafer when the semiconductor wafer is set within the first right-angled recess. In some embodiments, the wafer separator also includes interlock components for connecting the wafer separator to adjacent wafer separators.

Abstract: Provided herein are portable biocontainment devices for safe and reliable collection of biological samples, including liquid and gas samples. A sample inlet for collecting fluids and/or gases, including oral fluids and expired breath samples, is connected to a container having a climate-controlled container reservoir. One or more sample containers are connected to the sample inlet for collection of samples. The devices are configured for safe transport and handling of samples, while maintaining sample viability, including for relatively long transport periods. Safety components integrated within the device facilitates safe and effective decontamination of contagious samples. In this manner, aborting the sample preservation by decontamination prior to a hazardous release is achieved within the same apparatus.
