Abstract: In the construction machinery equipped with an engine, a hydraulic control unit and a machine controller, there is provided an antitheft device for the construction machinery, which can prevent the engine from starting and the hydraulic control unit from working with reliability no matter how the starter circuit of the engine is modified.
The initial state of the machine controller is so set that the fuel injection by a fuel injection unit of the engine is halted and that the operations of control units in the hydraulic control unit are halted, and an antitheft control unit is provided to release the initial state of the machine controller upon receiving a release signal from the antitheft control unit.
Abstract: A portable electronic device and method manage battery-produced power without lowering sound quality for music and other sound effects. In the present invention, an operation clock of the CPU of the portable electronic device and a processing wait time for image drawing are dynamically controlled. When there is no sound emission request, the CPU runs at a low clock rate. Where there is a sound emission request, the CPU runs at a high clock speed. When the sound emission ends, the CPU returns to the low clock rate. A user senses no apparent change, as the CPU slows screen drawing speed at high clock speed and increases screen drawing speed at low clock speed.
Abstract: A sub-net operation with increased availability and reduced power consumption is achieved in a bus system with a plurality of stations (10, 11, 12) which are coupled to one another via a system of conductors (13, 14). Each of the stations includes a transceiver (21) and a control unit (30). The stations are switched from a quiescent state to a standby state in response to the reception of a first wake-up signal and selected stations are switched to a normal operating state upon reception of a second wake-up signal, whereby stations are selected.
Abstract: This invention converts a toolhead of a computer numerical controlled machine into a locating fence by installing a fence guard on the toolhead. Since there is an indexing program in a computer numerical controlled machine to monitor a real time location of a spindle relative to a worktable, the true location of the locating fence can be easily obtained by adding an offset value indicative of the characteristic of the fence guard to numerical data indicative of the real time location of the spindle.
Abstract: A railroad vital signal output module provides a predetermined output signal in response to a certain module input only under conditions that insure vitality of the output signal. The module includes a master microcontroller and a plurality of slave microcontrollers. The master microcontroller generates a periodic clock signal and a plurality of pseudo-random numbers in a predetermined sequence. Each slave microcontroller generates a plurality of pseudo-random numbers in the same predetermined sequence as the master microcontroller. The numbers from the master microcontroller are compared with the numbers in the slave microcontroller if the clock signal is received at a slave master controller in a predetermined window of time and if there is identity between said pseudo-random numbers, the module provides a predetermined output signal which is assured to be vital.
