  • Patent number: 6900147
Abstract: A neckable nonwoven web is provided with a central region and two edge regions, the central region being selectively easier to neck than the two edge regions. The nonwoven fibers in the central region have a polymer composition and/or physical properties which differ from the nonwoven fibers in the two edge regions. The selectively easier necking in the central region causes the central region to neck to about the same extent as the two edge regions, which otherwise would experience greater necking than the central region if the starting nonwoven web were completely uniform. Necked nonwoven webs and neck-bonded laminates made using the improved neckable nonwoven web, are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6855422
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-component fiber having enhanced reversible thermal properties and methods of manufacturing thereof. The multi-component fiber comprises a fiber body formed from a plurality of elongated members, at least one of the elongated members comprising a temperature regulating material dispersed therein. The temperature regulating material comprises a phase change material. The multi-component fiber may be formed via a melt spinning process or a solution spinning process and may be used or incorporated in various products where a thermal regulating property is desired. For example, the multi-component fiber may be used in textiles, apparel, footwear, medical products, containers and packagings, buildings, appliances, and other products.

  • Patent number: 6716777
Abstract: A fabric structure is constructed having a fabric base sheet, a viscidity layer, a polymeric back layer, and a protective layer. The polymeric back layer is prepared from SBC (styrenic block copolymer) for the advantage of low specific gravity and preventing the drawback of PVC or the like that pollutes the environment when disposed off. The protective layer is prepared from PU series or modified SBC (styrenic block copolymer) series agent. When the fabric structure used to make a bag, the front surface of the fabric base sheet is disposed outside the bag and the surface of the protective layer is disposed inside the bag.
