  • Patent number: 6347421
Abstract: A water proof neoprene impregnated sheet material fabric support is formed into an hour-glass shape with two mirror image sections and is surrounded by a zipper which closes the support to form an inner pocket that is water impervious. Two right circular cylindrical cushions form pillow portions made of an inner core of foam rubber encased by an outer woven cotton layer that is mounted to the sections within the periphery thereof. The cushions compress when the pocket is closed forming a watertight pillow that is portable and easily opened for use. A carrying strap is attached to the support for carrying the zipped pillow.

  • Patent number: 6305111
Abstract: An advertising display for mounting an advertisement on a supporting structure such as a billboard, the side of truck, or any other substantially planar surface. The advertising display includes an elastic display panel with four edges reinforced by elongate stays. A plurality of upper attachment fittings are spaced lengthwise along the top of the supporting structure. A corresponding plurality of lower attachment fittings are spaced lengthwise along the bottom of the supporting structure. Opposing forward and rear attachment fittings are spaced vertically along the supporting structure. A plurality of retaining clips are also provided each for attachment to the outer lips of the lower attachment fitting as well as the forward and rear attachment fittings for the purpose of retaining the edges of the stays therein, thereby holding the stays captive. The display panel can be tautly suspended over the surface of the supporting structure between the four attachment fittings.

  • Patent number: 6116806
Abstract: A connection tightness and swing angle adjustable pivot includes a rotary shaft, a stationary shaft having a slit end rotatably received in an end of the rotary shaft, and an adjusting bolt. The adjusting bolt is screwed into the slit end of the stationary shaft with a head portion located in the rotary shaft but accessible with a hand tool via openings formed on the rotary shaft. The adjusting bolt has a tapered portion contacting with another tapered surface around inner wall of the stationary shaft. When the adjusting bolt is turned at the head portion via the openings on the rotary shaft so that it is screwed further into the stationary shaft, its tapered surface tightly presses against the tapered surface in the stationary shaft to expand the slit end of the stationary shaft, so that the stationary shaft more tightly contacts with inner wall of the rotary shaft.

  • Patent number: 6027167
Abstract: A method for safe restraint of occupants in a crashing vehicle using safety belts, and a double tube frame construction vehicle seat. In a crash the kinetic energy of the occupant is restrained by the belt and by the cooperating resiliently deformable double tube frame construction in such a way that, at a moderate load, the upper portion of this double tube frame construction will move resiliently, but with a bigger load a permanent deformation will be the result. The device includes a seat frame with a seat portion and a back rest portion being made of a parallel tube frame having two tubes arranged above/under and forward/behind, at the seat portion and at the back rest portion respectively, up to a height at the breast of the occupant. The tubes are twisted above this height to a position side by side. Reinforcing, deformable form plates are rigidly arranged between the parallel tubes at least at the seat portion and at the lower portion of the back rest portion.
