  • Patent number: 12247796
Abstract: A system for removing or reducing the accumulation of fouling deposits within furnaces and heat exchangers in industrial systems by introducing a periodic steam blast. The steam blast is directed into the process stream from which fouling deposits precipitate onto the heat exchanger surfaces. The steam blast increases the flow rates, creates turbulence and increases the temperature within the heat exchanger to dislodge foulant in both soft and hardened states from internal surfaces upon which foulants have adhered and accumulated.

  • Patent number: 12249932
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a controller and a method for controlling an electric motor. The controller comprises a feedback controller configured to generate a reference voltage vector, a hybrid flux observer configured to estimate a flux error vector based on a difference between a first stator flux linkage observed and a second stator flux linkage, and a position observer configured to estimate a position of a rotor of the electric motor based on a projection of the flux error vector in a direction orthogonal to a direction of a voltage error vector shifted with a phase of dynamics of the hybrid flux observer. The controller further comprises a state estimator configured to estimate a value of a state of operation of the electric motor based on the estimated position of the rotor, thereby closing a feedback control loop of the feedback controller.

  • Patent number: 12247832
Abstract: A method is disclosed, which is carried out by a detection device having a transmitter element for transmitting wave signals and two vertically aligned receiver elements for receiving wave signals, separated by a given spacing. The method includes transmitting, at the transmitter element, a wave signal that is reflected by the target. Each receiver element receives the wave signal reflected by the target, where the wave signal propagates via multiple paths caused by the reflecting surface. While a target distance varies, a phase difference between the reflected wave signals received by the two receiver elements is measured. From the phase difference measurements, a physical quantity fluctuation is determined in relation to the target distance. The information on the target height is then derived from the physical quantity fluctuation.

  • Patent number: 12250274
Abstract: A vehicle signal relay system enables a relay agent in a first zone of a vehicle to send sensor signals having a first link-layer communication protocol to a software application deployed on a compute unit in another zone of the vehicle that is connected using another link-layer communication protocol. The vehicle signal relay system allows the software application to identify target relay agents with access to needed sensor signals. The vehicle signal relay system may further enable one way or mutual attestation. The vehicle signal relay system may also allow filters to be applied to the subscribed vehicle sensor signals, and may allow the software application to determine a communication protocol to be used between the software application and the relay agent.

  • Patent number: 12250315
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable reversible blockchain operations. An operation-reverse operation pair specifies an operation for exchange of a first token for a second token, and a reverse operation for return of the second token for the first token upon at least one condition being satisfied. A self-executing software container (SESC) executes the operation-reverse operation pair according to the condition by detecting a transfer of the first token into a first segregated data structure, and a transfer of the second token from a second token storage to a first token storage. The SESC initiates a transfer of the first token from the first segregated data structure to a second segregated data structure in response to the transfer of the second token. Upon detecting a reverse operation matching the condition, the SESC initiates a transfer of the first token back to the first segregated data structure.

  • Patent number: 12250100
Abstract: Networks operating at high frequencies in 5G and 6G may reduce the incidence of phase faulting by declaring that, above a specified frequency, messages are to be modulated according to multiplexed amplitude-phase modulation, instead of the QAM modulation generally used at lower frequencies. Multiplexed amplitude-phase modulation can provide larger phase margins than QAM of the same order, by arranging the modulation phase levels to be equally spaced-apart which they are not in QAM. For example, with 4 amplitude and 4 phase levels (16 states), the various modulation states can be separated by 90 degrees of phase, whereas in 16QAM the minimum phase separation is only 36.9 degrees, a serious problem at higher frequencies where phase noise predominates. In addition, QAM cannot accommodate non-square modulation tables, which are readily provided by amplitude-phase modulation, further enhancing fault-mitigation options.
