Abstract: A composition comprising multistage polymeric particles having an average particle diameter from 0.5 to 15 ?m and a Vicker's scale hardness from 100 to 700 Kgf/mm2; and a film-forming polymer having Tg no greater than 80° C. The refractive index difference measured from 400 nm to 800 nm between the polymeric particles and the film-forming polymer is no greater than 0.02 and the average refractive index difference measured from 800 nm to 2500 nm between the polymeric particles and the film-forming polymer is at least 0.04.

Abstract: A circuit for detecting whether, or not, a three-phase load is correctly connected to a three-phase supply employs an inductance, capacitor and resistor connected in the three branches of the load circuit so as to generate a single phase output signal when connected to the supply, to voltage of the signal depending upon the connection to the supply. The circuit requires only three wires and not connected to a ground, or neutral. The output signal controls a reversing switch to ensure that the load is always automatically connected correctly; in a preferred form only one of the voltages is sufficient to light a source of radiant energy to activate a sensor to energize the reversing switch.
Abstract: Drive equipment supplied with direct current, which includes a DC motor with a series field winding and with a semi-conductor rectifier arrangement in parallel with the field winding and working in pulse operation for variable shunting of the field winding. The controllable semi-conductor rectifier has a reactor connected in series with it. A load object is connected in parallel to the semi-conductor rectifier. The load object may be an accumulator battery series-connected with a second semi-conductor rectifier which blocks the battery voltage.
