  • Patent number: 7314335
Abstract: An anchor pile apparatus has a helical anchor rotatable by a power source through an intermediate drive member. The drive member extends through a plurality of hollow pile sections, which are driven, one by one, into the soil following the penetration of the anchor. In one of the embodiments, the anchor and the pile sections are rotated separately by independent motors, thus expediting the installation of the pile in the pre-determined location.

  • Patent number: 7305728
Abstract: Two identical support cushions are flexibly joined to provide ergonomic support to a person having to perform physical activities in a supine position, often in confined spaces, such as a plumber lying on his back under a sink inside a cabinet with the lower part of the body being positioned on the room floor and the upper part of the body being positioned on the raised floor of the cabinet. The lightweight and rugged support cushions can be easily configured into a valise-like rectangular shape for easy carrying utilizing integrated handles. In addition, a plurality of lamps is enclosed within the support cushion, the lamps comprising light diffusing lenses and the lamps being spatially aligned to provide illumination with minimum shadow creation of the space in front of the supported person, such as a plumber working under a sink in a cabinet.

  • Patent number: 7284933
Abstract: Disclosed is a mine roof and rib support system generally including a square bearing plate. A through hole is positioned near a center portion of the square bearing plate. A peripheral section at least partially circumscribes the bearing plate. In between the through hole and the peripheral section is a rib member area. The rib member area may include two rib members with a convex cross-section connected by a substantially linear surface member disposed between the two rib members, two or more concave ribs with a substantially linear surface member disposed between the two rib members, or two substantially linear surfaces connected by a convex rib member. A safety edge surrounds the square bearing plate. The safety edge may be a rolled edge, a looped edge, a folded edge, or another comparable edge. Also disclosed is a method for making the mine roof and rib support system.

  • Patent number: 7229062
Abstract: Presented is an apparatus for stabilizing the form boards or members that define a cavity to receive wet concrete. The apparatus includes metal stakes having two sets of through-bores. The through-bores of one set are perpendicular to the through-bores of the other set and are spaced intermediately thereof. The stakes are driven into the ground in parallel pairs on opposite sides of the form boards. Nails are driven through one set of through-bores to attach the form boards to the stakes. A retention nail is slidably supported in a bore of the other set of bores so that it lies parallel to the form boards and above the top edges of the form boards. An elongated retention plate extends transversely above the form boards and opposite ends are detachably engaged to the nails that lie parallel to the form boards so as to prevent the form boards from displacing the stakes outwardly by the force exerted by the wet concrete.
