  • Patent number: 10246684
Abstract: Provided are a cancer cell-trapping metal filter which has a high opening ratio, a cancer cell-trapping metal filter sheet, a cancer cell-trapping device using the cancer cell-trapping filter, and manufacturing methods therefor. According to a cancer cell-trapping metal filter 1, openings of connected through-holes 12 that are formed in a metal sheet 11 have a wave shape, and thus it is possible to extract a CTC from other components by utilizing a hole diameter on a short-side side of the openings, and it is possible to make the connected through-holes be closer to each other due to the wave shape while maintaining a CTC trapping ability. Accordingly, it is possible to further improve the opening ratio in the cancer cell-trapping metal filter 1.

  • Patent number: 10202933
Abstract: A combined oil filter and restrictor assembly is disclosed having an oil flow restrictor interposed between first and second filters so that, irrespective of the direction of oil flow through the restrictor, debris cannot enter a small diameter bore 32 in a body of the restrictor thereby reducing the likelihood of restrictor blockage. The combined oil filter and restrictor assembly includes a metal threaded member that enables the combined oil filter and restrictor assembly to be easily and quickly assembled to or removed from a component such as a cylinder head of a variable displacement engine. The combined oil filter and restrictor assembly can be used to provide a restricted flow of oil from oil supply passages to signal oil passages used for controlling the operation of deactivatable hydraulic lash adjusters so as to purge the signal oil passages when the deactivatable hydraulic lash adjusters are not deactivated.

  • Patent number: 10201771
Abstract: A filtration system is described. The filtration system includes a filter housing having a central tube and a replaceable filter element. The central tube includes a gasket that plugs a passage from the dirty side of the filter element to the clean side of the filter element when the filter element is installed in an operational position. The gasket includes an integrated drain extending through the gasket. The gasket is integrated into the central tube and stays in place when the filter element is removed (e.g., during replacement of the filter element). The removal of the filter element opens the drain to allow for the draining of the fluid from the housing to the tank. The gasket is reusable and does not need to be replaced with each filter element replacement.

  • Patent number: 10173835
Abstract: A waste collection container has vertical walls extending up from a horizontal base and a raised floor supported on a ledge above the base to define a primary collection chamber above the raised floor and a liquid collection reservoir between the base and the raised floor. The top surface of the raised floor is sloped downwardly from the outer periphery to a central elongate grate to direct rain water and other liquid in the primary collection chamber to the grate and into the lower liquid collection chamber. When the waste collection container is inverted to dump the collected waste into a truck, water and other liquid remains trapped in the lower reservoir, thereby reducing the load weight of the truck. One or more drain holes near the base of the container allow the liquid to be drained out of the liquid collection reservoir.
