    Abstract: A reel of a harvester including a cutter bar includes a plurality of reel bats which are pivotal so as to vary the angle of the fingers about the bat axis as the reel rotates and an end shield plate mounted on the reel at the end of the reel. The end plate has a peripheral edge located radially inward of an outer tip of the fingers with an apex at each of the bats and portions which are recessed from a straight line joining the apexes to allow rotation of the finger around the bat axis without contacting the peripheral edge. Each of the endmost fingers of the bats has a base which is axially inside the end plate and is bent longitudinally of the reel to define an outer tip which is axially spaced from the base to a position beyond the radial plane of the end plate.

    Abstract: A latch mechanism is used with agricultural equipment, such as a mower, for securing the header of the mower to the tongue during transport. A pivoting catch is mounted on the trail frame on which the header is mounted. A receiver for the catch is mounted on the tongue. During mower transport the catch is biased into engagement with the receiver by a first spring and secures the header to the tongue in a parallel orientation. When the mower configuration is changed to operational mode the catch is disengaged from the receiver using a second spring attached to the catch. A cable attaches the second spring to a wheel arm of a field wheel. Deployment of the field wheel into the operation mode draws the cable and second spring into tension, overcoming the biasing force of the first spring and pivoting the catch out of engagement with the receiver.

The mouth converging into an inner gripping zone formed by a narrow gap between the rotary organs. The removing device further including a drive unit for the rotation of at least one of the two rotary organs to extract from the conveyor any debris element caught by the mouth and then gripped between the rotary organs.

    Abstract: A slope mower includes a mower body, drive wheels, left and right mower decks and left and right support wheels mounted on support arms pivotally mounted to the mower body with hydraulic actuators acting on the left and right support arms to maintain the mower body vertical. An inclinometer measures the tilt angle of the mower body and a controller reads the angle and controls a leveling valve to supply hydraulic fluid from a supply line to the leveling actuator toward which the inclinometer indicates the mower body is leaning to move the mower body back to vertical. The system can be programmed to actuate a leveling actuator only when the detected tilt angle exceeds a minimum angle. Lockout valves can be actuated by the controller to block the flow of hydraulic fluid to or from both actuators if a maximum allowed tilt angle is exceeded.
