  • Patent number: 9891288
Abstract: Devices and methods are disclosed which relate to a wireless communications device comprising a wireless power transmission detector and a wireless power transmission indicator for displaying to a user the current level of wireless power transmission. A voltmeter and ammeter take readings from the wireless transceiver circuit while the wireless communications device is on. A power logic stored on a memory within the wireless communications device converts the readings into a wireless power transmission level. The wireless power transmission level is output to an indicator on the wireless communications device where a user can view it. Exemplary embodiments include a true battery life indicator on the wireless communications device. • Patent number: 9872189
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to systems and methods for determining asymmetric downlink and uplink propagation delays in a wireless distribution system (WDS) for more accurately determining propagation delay. In this regard, a WDS is configured to determine both the separate downlink and uplink propagation delays between a central unit and a plurality of remote units. It is not presumed that the downlink propagation delay and the uplink propagation delay in the WDS are symmetric to provide a more accurate determination of propagation delay. Therefore, it is possible to determine the downlink and uplink propagation delays with improved accuracy, thus enabling more precise location identification in the WDS.

  • Patent number: 9843408
Abstract: Techniques described herein relate to reducing co-channel interference between macrocells and small cells in a heterogeneous network environment. Macrocells and small cells may dynamically select from among multiple interfaces (e.g., an X2 or S1 interface) to communicate FeICIC control communications. In one implementation, the selection may be based on the round trip delay (RTD) time between pairs of nodes. Thus, the macrocells and small cells nodes may dynamically select either the X1 or S1 interface based on whichever of these interfaces has the smallest RTD to the destination radio node.

  • Patent number: 9820205
Abstract: An efficient signaling of virtual cell identifier (ID) sets by base stations is disclosed. A serving base station identifies a set of virtual cell IDs of transmission points from a coordinated multipoint (CoMP) cluster in which a served user equipment (UE) is located along with neighboring transmission points of neighboring CoMP clusters. The serving base station groups the virtual cell IDs available for use in transmission into subsets of virtual cell IDs either according to the primary cell IDs associated with each virtual cell ID or according to the channel state information (CSI) resources associated with each primary cell ID and then transmits each of the subsets of virtual cell IDs to the UE.
