Abstract: There is disclosed a method of a User Equipment, UE, in a 3rd Generation Partnership Project, 3GPP, compliant mobile communications network supporting dual connectivity, and a corresponding UE. The method comprises detecting a signalled reconfiguration procedure of a Data Radio Bearer, DRB, having or changing to a DRB type in which downlink, DL, data is received from only serving cells of a Secondary Cell Group, SCG, connected to a Secondary eNB, SeNB, via an SCG DRB, or in which DL data is received from a SCG and also from serving cells of a Master Cell Group, MCG, connected to a Master eNB, MeNB, via a split DRB.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to switch between waveform configurations based on an indicated modulation coding scheme (MCS) such that waveform switching may be signaled implicitly. A base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a hybrid MCS table including MCS indexes associated with a first waveform configuration and MCS indexes associated with a second waveform configuration. The base station may schedule resources for an uplink transmission for the UE and may indicate an MCS index associated with the uplink transmission, using index from the MCS table. The UE may select a waveform configuration for the uplink transmission based on the MCS index. For example, the UE may compare the MCS index with a threshold MCS index of the hybrid MCS table and determine a waveform configuration associated with the MCS index based on whether the MCS index falls above or below the threshold.

Abstract: A method, wireless device, and network entity for communicating real time data communication requirements for applications running on a wireless device. The method includes identifying a change in a data communication requirement for an application running on an application layer of a communication reference model of the wireless device, and providing to a lower layer of the communication reference model, the lower layer being lower than the application layer, a data profile, the data profile representing the change in the data requirements for the application running on the application layer of the wireless device.
