  • Patent number: 10721030
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting a reception acknowledgement for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) of a user equipment (UE). The reception acknowledgement may be an ACK signal or a NACK signal for physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs). The reception acknowledgement is transmitted on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), and the UE selects a resource of the PUCCH based on a number of the received physical downlink control channels. That is, the UE selects a first PUCCH resource for a number of the received PDCCHs being less than a pre-defined number, and the UE selects a second PUCCH resource for a number of the received PDCCHs being equal to or greater than the pre-defined number.

  • Patent number: 10701190
Abstract: Communication apparatus includes multiple interfaces configured to be connected to a network so as to receive and transmit data packets having respective packet headers that includes a basic header record and one or more optional records. Parsing instructions specify one or more types of the optional records and indicate, for each specified type, an offset within an optional record of the specified type. Upon receiving each packet, routing logic parses the basic header record in the packet, parses the one or more optional records so as to identify any optional records of the one or more specified types, extracts header data from the identified optional records at the offset indicated for the specified type, and processes and forwards the data packets via the interfaces to the network in accordance with information parsed from the basic header record and the extracted header data.

  • Patent number: 10674426
Abstract: A method may be provided to operate a CU node that is coupled with first and second DU nodes. Communication is provided between the CU node and a mobile communication device through the first DU node over a first radio link. A message is received at the CU node from the first DU node that the radio link is temporarily unavailable. Responsive to receiving the message, communication between the CU node and the mobile communication device through the first DU node is suspended, wherein configuration of the first DU node to serve the mobile communication device using the first radio link is maintained. While suspending communication between the CU node and the mobile communication device through the first DU node, communication may be provided between the CU node and the mobile communication device through the second DU node over a second radio link.

  • Patent number: 10666564
Abstract: Entropy in routing tables may be increase to perform packet forwarding. Hash tables that store forwarding routes may be divided into multiple hash table segments. Forwarding routes may be stored across the hash table segments in different route segments. When looking up route segments to identify a forwarding route for a destination address of a network packet, digest values generated for previous route segments may be used to determine hash key values to identify hash table entries in a different hash table segment. The forwarding route may be identified according to the hash table entries located based on the digest values for previous route segments.

  • Patent number: 10652900
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a network node for enabling channel estimation in a wireless communications network. The wireless communications network includes at least a first and a second Access Point, AP, having overlapping cells using contention-based transmission resources of the same frequency. The first network node controls the first AP to transmit information indicating that wireless devices served by the first AP are not to contend for the contention-based transmission resources when the second AP is transmitting a Null Data Packet, NDP. Then, the first network node controls the second AP to transmit a NDP. Embodiments of the first network node are also described. Embodiments herein also relate to a method performed by a wireless device for enabling channel estimation in a wireless communications network, and embodiments of the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 10645727
Abstract: A transmitting device may determine that a first neighbor device is communicating with a second neighbor device based on a signal received from the first device (e.g., a request-to-send (RTS) signal) during a listen-before-talk (LBT) period. The transmitting device may also identify a direction of the second neighbor device (e.g., based on signals received during a previous LBT period), and determine the amount of interference that a directional transmission may cause at the second neighbor device. The determination may be based on whether the transmission direction (i.e., a beam direction of a directional transmission) is in a same direction as the second neighbor device. If the interference level is below a threshold, the transmitting device may perform the transmission despite receiving the signal during the LBT period. If the interference level is above the threshold, the transmitting device may refrain from transmitting.

  • Patent number: 10638402
Abstract: An unmanned vehicle (UV) system provides network data connectivity for terminals. UV nodes in the system may transmit and receive terminal data in a network of UV nodes and other nodes according to a routing protocol. The nodes may include fixed nodes or UV nodes with a wired or wireless network connection to a destination terminal. A UV node may receive data from a source terminal for transmission to the destination terminal, and when the UV node is within range of a node in the network connected the destination terminal, the UV node transmits the received data to the node within range for forwarding to the destination terminal via the network.

  • Patent number: 10638377
Abstract: A secondary base station (2) receives an SeNB addition request message (302) from a second master base station (3) while providing a radio terminal (4) with a secondary cell group (SCG) for DC in cooperation with a first master base station (1). If the SeNB addition request message (302) explicitly or implicitly indicates that a master base station in DC for the radio terminal (4) is to be changed from the first master base station (1) to the second master base station (3), the secondary base station (2) considers that the SeNB addition request message (302) requests modification of the SCG that has already been configured. It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to performing a procedure for changing a master base station in Dual Connectivity (DC) by using existing inter-base station interface procedures and inter-base station signaling messages.

  • Patent number: 10582553
Abstract: A method of transmitting a device-to-device (D2D) signal by a first D2D user equipment (UE) supporting D2D communication. A first D2D UE requests a second D2D UE to repeatedly broadcast or multicast the D2D data together with the first D2D UE on a same time-frequency resource based on a single frequency network (SFN) scheme. • Patent number: 10575240
Abstract: Multi-band signaling is described for reducing signaling overhead in an apparatus and method for communications within a mesh network. The communications involve using two different beacon signals on two different communication channels. Peer beacons are sent using directional millimeter-wave (mmW) communications to provide time synchronization and resource management information to maintain existing links among one or more neighboring peer stations. A separate network discovery beacon is sent over a sub-6 GHz communication channel, to provide mesh network profile information that identifies the mesh network to aid network discovery for wireless communication stations wanting to join the mesh network.

  • Patent number: 10567333
Abstract: A two-tier Anycast addressing hierarchy enables deterministic traffic management in an Anycast system. Different locations of the Anycast system advertise a common Anycast cover route comprising a first-tier Anycast address with a first address prefix, and different specific routes comprising a set of second-tier Anycast addresses with a second address prefix, wherein each address of the set of second-tier Anycast addresses falls within the already advertised Anycast cover route, and wherein the second prefix is larger than the first prefix. Domain Name System (DNS) operation can resolve queries to the cover route when normal Anycast operation is desired or can be modified to resolve a subset of queries to a particular second-tier address in order to shift a deterministic amount of traffic based on the resolved subset of queries to a deterministically selected Anycast system location based on the location from which the particular second-tier address is advertised.
