  • Patent number: 6637415
Abstract: An evaporative fuel leakage preventing device is designed such that an adsorbent is disposed in an intake passage so as to adsorb evaporative fuel generated in the intake passage during stoppage of the engine and prevent evaporative fuel from being discharged to the atmosphere. The device prevents evaporative fuel that has been previously adsorbed by the adsorbent, and that is desorbed from the adsorbent due to the ambient temperature while the engine is not in operation, from being emitted to the atmosphere even when the engine is not in operation.

  • Patent number: 6427667
Abstract: A mounting arrangement for a fuel injector comprises a cylinder head, a mounting bore formed in the cylinder head, a seat surface formed within the mounting bore, a fuel injector positioned within the mounting bore and comprising a seating surface, at least one sealing ring disposed about a portion of the fuel injector and positioned between the seating surface and the seat surface. The ring comprises a thermal insulator material and a resin material. The ring also comprises a deformable eyelet that expands radially inward in response to compressive axial forces. The resin material thermally activates at a temperature within the operating temperature range of the engine.

  • Patent number: 6254357
Abstract: An axial piston fluid pumping apparatus is disclosed in which wobble pistons are rigidly connected to arms of a nutating plate that is rotatably mounted on a bearing which is mounted on a drive shaft. The axis of the bearing is at an acute angle to the axis of the shaft. The wobble pistons move within cylinders whose bores are disposed about the axis of the shaft. The motion of the pistons is in three dimensions within the bores.
