  • Patent number: 10643062
Abstract: A server system stores a database of records. Each record stores a digital image of a pet, facial recognition markers, and owner identification information. An owner may register his/her pet using a cellular telephone and a mobile app. The owner is prompted to supply a digital photograph of the pet and to enter eye and nose location information. The system generates therefrom facial recognition markers and stores the markers in a record. If a lost pet is found, a finding user can use a cellular telephone to take a picture of the animal and to enter eye and nose location information. The system generates markers and compares the markers in a facial recognition process to other stored markers to identify records of animals that resemble the lost pet. If the record of the lost pet is identified, then owner identification information in the record is used to contact the owner.

  • Patent number: 10636198
Abstract: A method for simultaneous localization and mapping. The method includes the step of detecting two-dimensional (2D) feature points from a current frame captured by a camera; matching the 2D feature points from the current frame directly to three-dimensional (3D) map points in a 3D map, so as to obtain correspondence between the 2D feature points and the 3D map points; and computing a current pose of the camera based on the obtained correspondence. Each of the 2D feature points and the 3D map points has a feature descriptor. The step of matching is performed by comparing the feature descriptors of the 2D feature points and the feature descriptors of the 3D map points.

  • Patent number: 10614338
Abstract: Methods and systems for descriptor guided fast marching method based image analysis and associated systems are disclosed. A representative image processing method includes processing an image of a microelectronic device using a fast marching algorithm to obtain arrival time information for the image. The arrival time information is analyzed using a targeted feature descriptor to identify targeted features. The detection of defects is facilitated by segmenting the image. The segmented image can be analyzed to identify targeted features which are then labeled for inspection.

  • Patent number: 10603127
Abstract: A LUS robotic surgical system is trainable by a surgeon to automatically move a LUS probe in a desired fashion upon command so that the surgeon does not have to do so manually during a minimally invasive surgical procedure. A sequence of 2D ultrasound image slices captured by the LUS probe according to stored instructions are processable into a 3D ultrasound computer model of an anatomic structure, which may be displayed as a 3D or 2D overlay to a camera view or in a PIP as selected by the surgeon or programmed to assist the surgeon in inspecting an anatomic structure for abnormalities. Virtual fixtures are definable so as to assist the surgeon in accurately guiding a tool to a target on the displayed ultrasound image.

  • Patent number: 10535119
Abstract: Systems and methods of enhancing the resolution of digital terrain models (DTM) for location-based applications and analyses. The DTM enhancement process takes the signature of the input image (e.g., via the input image and a noise surface file with similar characteristics as the sensor used to capture the input image) and applies it to the DTM without including large features such as buildings. The disclosed methods include utilize a process similar to that used for enhancing a DSM based on mapping the changing intensity from the image file to changes in elevation in the DSM using a regression over a local neighborhood of pixels. Further, the disclosed methods do not rely on information about the sensors and are extendable to be able to utilize any types of images. Additionally, the disclosed embodiments are sensor agnostic and can be applied on any type of image collected by any type of sensor.
