Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a stackable hard-disk drive (“HDD”) carrier using pull-out drawers and fasteners are disclosed. The carrier, in one embodiment, includes an inner case or drawer and an outer frame casing. The inner cage includes a base plate, a front cover, a first side panel, and a second side panel, wherein the first and second side panels are hinged to the base plate. The inner cage is configured to house a removable HDD. The first and second side panels also include fasteners for securing the HDD to the inner cage. The outer frame casing is configured to receive the inner cage via its two opposite guiding walls. The guiding walls are configured to allow extending the inner cage to a predefined distance from the outer frame casing for accessing the HDD.

Abstract: A rack securing system includes a rack having a plurality of posts that are oriented to house a plurality of device chassis. Each of the plurality of posts includes a plurality of post apertures that are operable to receive a fastener to couple an edge of a device chassis to the rack. A first securing member includes that includes a plurality of first securing member apertures is operable to be oriented adjacent a first post such that the plurality of first securing member apertures align with respective post apertures on the first post and the first securing member extends over at least one fastener that is coupling an edge of a device chassis to the rack. At least two locking devices are operable to extend through respective aligned first securing member apertures and post apertures to secure the first securing member to the first post.

Abstract: A folding electronic device includes a first main body having a first housing, an engagement unit, a second main body engaged with the first main body, and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a hook member, a hook driving member, a first reset driving member, and a latch member. The hook member is fixed to the first main body. The latch member is fixed to the second main body. The hook driving member drives the hook member to protrude from the first housing to latch with the latch member when the electronic device is folded. The reset driving member retracts the hook member into the first housing when the electronic device is unfolded.

Abstract: A computer component mounting assembly includes a carrier to support a hard drive and a data connector. The carrier is configured to slidably receive the hard drive along a first axis. The data connector includes a first connector configured to mate to pins of the hard drive, a second connector configured to mate to a SATA data connector, and a flexible cable connecting the two. The first connector includes an alignment feature to engage a corresponding alignment feature on the hard drive. The first connector is coupled to the carrier and slidable in a plane perpendicular to the first axis, and the first connector is configured such that when carrier receives the hard drive and the alignment feature engages the corresponding alignment feature the first connector moves in the plane perpendicular to the first axis to provide alignment of the first connector to the pins of the hard drive.

At least one accommodating chamber, open toward the outside of the housing and otherwise substantially closed to all sides, is formed in at least one outer wall of the housing. At least one non EMC safe transmitter in the form of a non EMC safe transmitting or receiving device is adapted to provide wireless communication between housing side control electronics and an external control device. A functional component is adapted to be controlled by the housing side control electronics. The transmitter may be an antenna, the arrangement thereof inside the accommodating chamber ensuring that it is located outside the EMC protection or shielding. The functional component can be a peristaltic-type pump that is protected by the arrangement inside the accommodating chamber and does not protrude from the housing.
