Abstract: A system for executing thin client applications, the system configured to: generate, by a thin client application executing on a client computing device, an initial content request identifying a platform; send the initial content request to a content provider; receive platform-independent initial content from the content provider in response to the initial content request; display the initial content on the client computing device; detect a user input associated with the initial content; send a user engagement request for secondary content; receive user-interactive secondary content server-side rendered in a platform-dependent format of the client computing device based on the platform identification; and display the secondary content on the display component.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system and a method for performing operations comprising: displaying, by a messaging application, a sound capture screen that enables a user to record the sound; after the sound is recorded using the sound capture screen, generating, by the messaging application, a visual element associated with the sound; receiving, by the messaging application, selection of the visual element from a displayed list of visual elements representing different sounds; in response to receiving the selection of the visual element, conditionally adding one or more graphics representing the sound to one or more images at a user selected position based on a privacy status of the sound; and playing, by the messaging application, the sound associated with the visual element together with displaying the one or more images.

Abstract: A participant computing device connected to a teleconferencing session receives mixed audio data from a teleconference computing system orchestrating the session. The mixed audio data comprises a mix of audio captured by other devices connected to the session. The mixed audio and audio captured by the other devices prior to receipt of the mixed audio data are compared to determine that the participant computing device is co-located with at least one of the other devices. Information indicating that some of the other devices are featured devices that most actively contribute to the mixed audio is obtained. Co-location information for each of the featured devices is received. The co-location information is indicative of whether a featured device is co-located with the participant computing device. Based on the co-location information, a determination is made that one of the featured devices is co-located with the participant computing device.

The method includes: displaying, on a touch screen, a current window of a multimedia file in a playing state; displaying, in response to an instruction from a user for zooming the current window, a zoomed window of the current window at a first predetermined position of the current window, the zoomed window being smaller than the current window; and displaying, in response to an annotation operation performed by the user for the zoomed window, an annotation in the zoomed window, and updating the current window by displaying the annotation in the current window.

Abstract: A device and method for determining a knowledge graph. A second embedding is determined for a first embedding for a word including a function. A first classification, which determines whether or not the word is an entity for the knowledge graph, or which defines to which entity or to which type of entity for the knowledge graph the word in the knowledge graph is to be assigned, is determined for the second embedding using a first classifier. A second classification, which defines to which type of embeddings from a plurality of types of embeddings the second embedding is to be assigned, is determined for the second embedding using a second classifier. At least one parameter for the function is trained in a training as a function of a gradient for the training of the first classifier and as a function of a gradient for the training of the second classifier.

Abstract: An example method includes, at a first electronic device that includes a display, displaying, on the display, a user interface that is associated with an application, the user interface displayed with a control user interface element for changing a display property of the user interface. The method includes, detecting an input directed to the control user interface element. The method also includes that in response to detecting the input, and while continuing to display the user interface, concurrently displaying on the display: a first selectable option for changing the display property of the user interface on the display of the first electronic device, and a second selectable option for requesting display at a second electronic device, distinct from the first electronic device, of a user interface that includes content from the user interface.

Abstract: A system configured to generate a three-dimensional scene of a physical environment. In some cases, the system may present the three-dimensional scene such that the user is able to view the model in various different types. The system may also allow the user to capture various measurements associated with the scanned physical environment by selecting different portions of the scene.

Abstract: Techniques for content output are described. A computing component determines that a first zone identifier is associated with at least a first permission that enables identifying first content output and controlling the first content output, and that a second zone identifier is associated with a second permission that enables identifying second content output and prohibiting the second content output. Based at least in part on the first permission, this component causes the first content output by a first speaker associated with the first zone identifier and causes a first display associated with the first zone identifier to present a first graphical user interface that identifies the first content and includes a content control component.

Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to an automated assistant that can adapt to circumstances in which a user may invoke an automated assistant with an intention of interacting with the automated assistant via a non-default interface. For example, in some instances, a user may invoke an automated assistant by selecting a selectable GUI element. In response, the automated assistant can determine that, in the current context, spoken utterances may not be suitable for providing to the automated assistant. Based on this determination, the automated assistant can cause a keyboard interface to be rendered and/or initialized for receiving typed inputs from the user. Should the user subsequently change contexts, the automated assistant can determine that voice input is now suitable for user input and initialize an audio interface in response to the user providing an invocation input in the subsequent context.

Abstract: A system and method of digitally monitoring actions of a user on a computing device and providing real-time suggestions to aid the user's task performance. The digital nudging software may perform a range of subtasks successfully. The subtasks may include loading and processing the structured representation of an application to build the graph, identifying the starting point (“Point A”) and the end point (“Point B”) of the path of the user, and conveying a notification of the faster paths in a user-friendly format.

Abstract: An infusion management and monitoring system comprises an infusion pump and instructions executable by a processor to cause a remote device separate from and in communication with the infusion pump to receive data for a medication to be administered to a patient via the infusion pump within a healthcare environment; receive from the infusion pump data for administration of the medication to the patient; determine a status of the administration of the medication based on at least one of the data for the medication or the data for the administration of the medication; and transmit the status to a mobile communication device within the healthcare environment.

Abstract: Data is received that characterizes infusions administered to a patient among each of a plurality of infusion channels. Thereafter, a plurality of infusion events and respective event times are identified based on the received data. A temporal view of the infusion events can then be displayed in a graphical user interface and/or the temporal view of the infusion events can form part of a report. The temporal view segregates each channel into a separate swim lane with each swim lane visualizing infusion events for the corresponding channel at the respective event times. Abstract: Methods and apparatus related to determining a triggering event of a user, selecting media relevant to the triggering event, and providing the selected media to the user. Some implementations are directed to methods and apparatus for determining a past event of the user that is indicative of past interaction of the user with one or more past entities and the triggering event may be determined to be associated with the past event. The media selected to provide to the user may contain media that includes the one or more past entities associated with the past event and the media may be provided to the user in response to the triggering event.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve ranking augmented reality content. The program and method provide for receiving, by a messaging application, a request from a first user to compose a message for sending to a preselected second user, the message being configured to include an image captured by a device camera, the first user and the second user corresponding to contacts in the messaging application; determining, in response to receiving the request, a ranking for a plurality of augmented reality content items configured to be displayed with the image, the ranking being based on at least one signal that relates the first user to the second user; and displaying, based on the ranking, the image with a user interface comprising multiple icons, each icon being user-selectable to display a respective one of the plurality of augmented reality content items with the image.

Abstract: A video encoder determines scaled transform coefficients, wherein determining the scaled transform coefficients comprises scaling transform coefficients of a block of the video data according to a given quantization step. The video encoder determines scalar quantized coefficients, wherein determining the scalar quantized coefficients comprises applying scalar quantization to the scaled transform coefficients of the block. Additionally, the video encoder applies a neural network that determines a respective set of probabilities for each respective transform coefficient of the block. The respective set of probabilities for the respective transform coefficient includes a respective probability value for each possible adjustment value in a plurality of possible adjustment values. Inputs to the neural network include the scaled transform coefficients and the scalar quantized coefficients.

Abstract: A portable electronic device and a one-hand touch operation method thereof are disclosed. A touch operation performed on a touch screen is detected through the touch screen. A touch operation for triggering a one-hand operation mode on the touch screen is detected. A one-hand mode interface display region is defined on the touch screen according to a touch start point position of the touch operation. An operation interface screen that is scaled down or shifted is displayed within the one-hand mode interface display region.

Abstract: An electronic device, method, and computer program product provide of removing less relevant secondary content (e.g., advertisements, related links, comments, reviews, etc.) prior to generating a static or dynamic screen shot image of the more relevant primary content of an electronic page. A controller of an electronic device executes an application to present, via a display, at least a portion of an electronic page. In response to receiving an input, via at least one input device of the electronic device, to capture a screen shot of the display, the controller identifies primary spatial portion(s) and secondary spatial portion(s) of the electronic page. The controller renders the primary portion(s) of the electronic page into a reduced content electronic page without the secondary spatial portion(s). The controller captures a screen shot image of the reduced content electronic page.
