    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a self-contained subframe structure for time division duplex (TDD) carriers. Information transmitted on a TDD carrier may be grouped into subframes, and each subframe can provide communications in both directions (e.g., uplink and downlink) to enable such communications without needing further information in another subframe. In one aspect of the disclosure, a single subframe may include scheduling information, data transmission corresponding to the scheduling information, and acknowledgment packets corresponding to the data transmission. Furthermore, the subframe may additionally include a header and/or a trailer to provide certain bi-directional communications functions.

Data from the synchronous circuit is received into a memory in the interface circuit. Processing elements within the interface circuit execute instructions contained within the circular buffer. The circular buffer rotates to provide new instructions to the processing elements. Flow control paces the data from the synchronous circuit to the asynchronous circuit.

One embodiment follows the forwarding order of these multiple compact forwarding identifiers by respectively placing them in the single IPv6 address from high-order to lower-order bit positions. In one embodiment, a compact forwarding identifier prefix is part of the address represented by each compact forwarding identifier, typically with the compact forwarding identifier prefix stored in the highest-order bit positions. One embodiment uses a longest prefix matching operation to match the compact forwarding identifier to be used in determining how to next process the packet.

The base station may receive the wide-band signal strength feedback from the UEs and identify potential frequency channels for channel selection for the secondary cell based on its own measurements of the candidate channels, and the wide-band signal strength feedback from the UEs.
