  • Patent number: 10117161
Abstract: Embodiments of a station (STA) and method for ranging in accordance with Neighborhood Awareness Network (NAN) communication are generally described herein. An initiator STA may determine, for a data service that is to be established between the initiator STA and a responder STA on a NAN data link, whether a ranging procedure is to be performed for the data service. As part of the ranging procedure, range measurements or fine timing may be determined. When the ranging procedure is to be performed for the data service, ranging configuration parameters may be included in data request messages, publish messages and other messages sent by the STAs 103. In some cases, the STAs 103 may refrain from exchanging separate messages for communication of ranging information.

  • Patent number: 10085257
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to inhibit an increase in the amount of A/N resources, without changing the timing at which the error detection result of an SCell is notified when UL-DL configurations to be configured for each of the unit bands are different, from the timing at which the error detection result is notified when just a single unit band is configured. A control unit transmits, using a first unit band, a response signal including error detection results about data received with both the first unit band and a second unit band. In a first composition pattern set for the first unit band, an uplink communication subframe is set to be the same timing as at least an uplink communication subframe of a second composition pattern set for the second unit band.

  • Patent number: 10050734
Abstract: A method performed by a network node for enabling Interference Alignment, IA, of transmissions to user equipments is provided. The network node receives signal strength values associated with more than one network node for the user equipments, wherein each signal strength value is associated with one network node. Then, the network node schedules a first group of the user equipments on radio transmission resources that are orthogonal to radio transmission resources of at least one other group of the user equipments when an IA gain value for each user equipment in the first group passes a threshold level. The IA gain value is determined by the network node based on the received signal strength values. The network node may then enable IA of transmissions to the scheduled first group of user equipments from at least two network nodes capable of performing IA of transmissions.

  • Patent number: 10032119
Abstract: An ordering system receives release requests to release packets, where each packet has an associated sequence number, but the system only releases packets sequentially in accordance with the sequence numbers. The system includes a Ticket Order Release Command Dispatcher And Sequence Number Translator (TORCDSNT) and a plurality of Ticket Order Release Bitmap Blocks (TORBBs). The TORBBs are stored in one or more transactional memories. In response to receiving release requests, the TORCDSNT issues atomic ticket release commands to the transactional memory or memories, and uses the multiple TORBBs in a chained manner to implement a larger overall ticket release bitmap than could otherwise be supported by any one of the TORBBs individually. Special use of one flag bit position in each TORBB facilitates this chaining. In one example, the system is implemented in a network flow processor so that the TORBBs are maintained in transactional memories spread across the chip.

  • Patent number: 10021025
Abstract: A method and a system for distributed computation of a routing table for a vast communication network are disclosed. The network nodes are arranged into multiple groups with each group associated with a respective network controller. A network controller of a group acquires characterizing information of links emanating from local nodes of the group, communicates the information to each other network controller, reciprocally receives characterizing information from other network controllers, and determines a generic route set from each local node to each other node of the network. The network controllers collectively determine an inverse routing table identifying all routes traversing each individual link in the entire network and exchange node or link state-transition information for updating individual route sets affected by any state transition. Thus, the processing effort of routes generation and tracking network-elements states is distributed among multiple coordinated network controllers.
