Abstract: Technologies and techniques for providing domain-specific text scaling for a page having a plurality of domains. A processing apparatus configured to generate the page and an interface associated with at least one of the plurality of domains. A profile module is configured to store user identification information. A scaling module is included, wherein the processing apparatus is configured to receive an input via the interface to modify the text scaling via the scaling module for the associated domain, without modifying the text scaling for at least one of the other of plurality of domains. Contexts for domains may also be determined and subsequently used to load pre-stored values for domain-specific text scaling.

Abstract: Creation of a new document-review annotation to a document in an enterprise content management system is detected. The annotation is stored as a separate workflow route selection element. It is determined that the new document-review annotation is of a particular type among sub-types that indicates a subsequent workflow process to be performed. The new document-review annotation is parsed and the particular type is extracted to be used in routing the subsequent workflow process to one of a plurality of possible subsequent workflow processes. The subsequent workflow process is launched.

Abstract: A snapshot of a page is stored in response to navigation away from the page. When the user navigates back to the page, the snapshot is displayed while the page is loaded. When the page is sufficiently loaded, the snapshot is replaced by the (fully or partially) loaded page. Determining whether the page is sufficiently loaded is based on monitoring of pre-selected criteria.

Abstract: Computer computer-implemented methods and systems for creating and managing website content involve, for example, providing a user at a computer terminal a data capture template for a user-selected content type, providing the user at the computer terminal presentation pages using content management tags, allowing the user at the computer terminal to author content using the data capture template, and allowing the user at the computer terminal to deploy the content to a server. Other aspects of the methods and systems for creating and managing website content include, for example, allowing the user to personalize content, allowing the user to embed dynamic content in the middle of static content, allowing the user to refresh the deployed content in real-time without impacting current existing user sessions on the server where content is being deployed.

Abstract: Pressure-sensor based arrays are integrated into a control device that detects the position, motion, or movement of a one or more body parts of a user to recognize and translate the motion into a unique user-motion profile. The user motion profile may be independently analyzed or recognized as a discrete motion or gesture and used as input or commands for the control device itself or as a signal or set of signals that yields an output signal to a companion device. The pressure sensors can be attached to any body part of a user, such as the user's wrist or ankle. Motion or position, or changes therein, of the user generates an output signal that may be used to control a companion device. The source of the detectable signal is the pressure-based sensor array that yields a pressure data profile that is translated into an output signal to control the companion device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for place-based information processing are disclosed. The method includes receiving annotation information inputted by a user; acquiring geographical location information of a mobile terminal device; sending the annotation information and the geographical location information to a server so that the server determines place information of where the user is located according to the geographical location information, establishes and stores a correspondence between the annotation information and the place information to provide the annotation information to a querying user in the place. In the present disclosure, “traces” of the user may be kept in the place and are not subject to an actual condition in the place, which do not need real paper and pen, and do not affect the actual scenery of the place.

In response to a particular arranging operation to arrange a particular icon in one of a common area and an individual area of a tab screen associated with the selected tab, one of the common area and the individual area is set as an arrangement target area and the particular icon assigned with a particular process in accordance with the arranging operation is arranged in the arrangement target area. The particular icon is arranged only in the individual area of the tab screen currently displayed when the arrangement target area is the individual area, while the particular icon is arranged in the common area of each of the plurality of tab screens when the arrangement target area is the common area.

Abstract: A method and system that automatically or semi-automatically analyze documents and redact key elements of importance to potential purchasers of the documents. Potential purchasers, or others, are presented with versions of the document that more fully reflect the particular information contained in the document but which do not disclose critical key data points that are of most importance to the purchaser. Upon reviewing a redacted version of the subject document, the viewer may elect to purchase or otherwise obtain the original document or report with information un-redacted. Alternatively, viewers are able to selectively purchase, or otherwise obtain, portions of the document in an a la carte fashion. The invention provides a Graphical User Interface (GUI) to effect the selective election of information, such as recommendations, ratings, market share, graphical representations, tables, etc.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for performing operational transforms on a document. A first operation is received at a first server that includes a first object of an electronic document. In response to receiving the first operation, the first server prohibits a second server from having write access to the first object. The first server applies the first operation to the first object to obtain a transformed first object. In response to obtaining the transformed first object, the first server allows the second server to have write access to the first object. These steps are repeated for a second object associated with a second portion of the electronic document that is different from the first portion of the electronic document.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide for tilting of a joystick. When there is room for scrolling in the tilting direction, a screen is scrolled in the same direction as the tilting direction. When there is no room for scrolling, and a previous or subsequent region continuous with a present display region in the contents of a book is present within double-spread pages at the time point in question, display is switched to the previous or subsequent region. When the previous or subsequent region continuous with the present display region is not present within the double-spread pages, and the tilting direction is parallel with the opening of the pages, a page turning animation is inserted, and the display region is switched. When the tilting direction is not parallel with the opening of the pages, display is directly switched.

Abstract: The techniques described herein facilitate supporting remote micro-services from cloud-based analytics platforms as native functions in spreadsheet applications, e.g., Microsoft Excel®. In an implementation, a method of supporting remote micro-services as native functions in a spreadsheet application is disclosed. The method includes accessing a listing identifying at least one micro-service that is available for use by a user of a spreadsheet application. The at least one micro-service is remotely located in a cloud service platform. The method further includes obtaining a schema associated with the at least one remote micro-service, generating a translation model based on the schema, and registering the skeleton spreadsheet function as a native function in the spreadsheet application. The translation model maps between the at least one remote micro-service and a skeleton spreadsheet function.

Abstract: Methods and systems providing for the generation, sending, updating, and monitoring of electronic documents (eDocuments) based on source documents created in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. An eDocument is generated based on existing source documents, external data, or from other eDocuments. The method and systems ensure that the generated eDocument is compliant with any technical requirements. The eDocument is generated using a document process which transforms a non-compliant source document into a compliant eDocument. An eDocument Framework system can include a mapping application, application interface framework (AIF), an eDocument interface, and a process manager. The AIF is configured to interact with a cloud services provider to create a highly automated process of generating, sending, updating, and monitoring the eDocuments. The cloud service provider is also configured to interact with local authorities.

Abstract: The present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for launching an application page, and an electronic device. The method includes: obtaining item description information in a current display interface, the item description information comprising text description information, image description information and/or speech description information; determining an item type of an item according to the item description information; obtaining an application identification corresponding to the item type; obtaining a configuration file corresponding to the application identification from a server, and generating a hyperlink on the current display interface, the hyperlink being associated with the configuration file; and when a trigger operation on the hyperlink is detected, launching a target application page according to the configuration file.

Abstract: A system configured to determine interactive elements for non-traditional computing devices is disclosed. The system receives a portion of a webpage with a first interactive element and an element identifier. The system determines that a threshold number of interactive actions are associated with a second interactive element in a data store. The threshold number of interactive actions indicates that the second interactive element is selectable to perform an action in response to an interaction by a user. The system determines that the first interactive element is similar to the second interactive element by a similarity measure. The system provides to a computer, a selectable option associated with the element identifier of the first interactive element. The selectable option is for selection by an indirect input to the computer and for causing the action associated with the first interactive element upon the selection of the selectable option.

Abstract: Glyph aware snapping is described. A content processing system receives a selection input to select a glyph from text content presented via a user interface of a content editing application. Responsive to this, the content processing system generates and presents snapping guidelines in relation to the glyph while preserving an ability of the glyph to be editable using text editing tools. These snapping guidelines correspond to an identified subset of linear segments of the glyph and enable the content processing system to snap a focus (e.g., a cursor) of a graphics editing tool from a position proximate the snapping guidelines to a position on the snapping guidelines. This enables the content processing system to generate graphical content that aligns with the snapping guidelines and can be attached to the glyph based on the alignment—without destroying the ability of the text content to be editable using text editing tools.

Abstract: When a browsing computer navigates to a network document, such as a web page, the corresponding server also downloads computer readable formatting information necessary for the operating system of the browsing computer to render correctly any characters within the network document even if the fonts associated with those characters do not exist on the browsing computer prior to encountering the network document. An exposure module is also downloaded to the browsing computer. The exposure module is loaded onto the browsing computer, which in turn either permanently installs or temporarily exposes the operating system of the browsing computer to the computer readable font formatting information associated with the network document. As a result, the operating system of the browsing computer is able to display or otherwise process the network document correctly and consistently regardless of the computer readable fonts installed on the browsing computer.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a font retrieval system that utilizes a multi-learning framework to develop and improve tag-based font recognition using deep learning neural networks. In particular, the font retrieval system jointly utilizes a combined recognition/retrieval model to generate font affinity scores corresponding to a list of font tags. Further, based on the font affinity scores, the font retrieval system identifies one or more fonts to recommend in response to the list of font tags such that the one or more provided fonts fairly reflect each of the font tags. Indeed, the font retrieval system utilizes a trained font retrieval neural network to efficiently and accurately identify and retrieve fonts in response to a text font tag query.
