  • Patent number: 9401975
Abstract: A terminal is provided that determines the status of a communications and selecting an appropriate codec mode without applying a load to either a network or terminals, by using information held by the terminal as negotiation information. User Equipment (UE) sends to a partner the codec mode selected from a plurality of candidate codec modes notified by the partner, when communications commence. The UE includes a wireless receiver that receives a first information relating to the characteristics of a network to which the partner is currently connected; an information comparison unit that compares the first information and a second information relating to the characteristics of the network that the UE is currently connected to, and decides the communications format; and a mode determination unit that selects the codec mode to be used, from among the candidates and based on the decided communications format.

  • Patent number: 9391883
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and device for label automatic allocation in ring network protection. The method includes: after physical topology configuration of ring network protection is completed, if connectivity detection between a first node and a downstream node of a ring tunnel is UP, receiving, a first label distribution message sent by the downstream node; sending, by the first node according to the identifier indicating that the tail node label is ready, a second label distribution message to the upstream node; so that the upstream node learns that label allocation for all nodes on the ring tunnel between the first node and a tail node is completed. The method solves problems in the prior art that a workload for configuration of a working ring is big and availability of an end-to-end service cannot be ensured.

Abstract: A method for implementing a baseband resource pool in an LTE base station is provided. The LTE base station includes a main control module, a master board a slave board. The master board and the slave board each include a baseband processing module. The main control module configures information of a cell needing load sharing on the master board to the slave board, and configures user information in the cell to each of the master board and the slave board, or configures the user information to each of the master board and the slave board according to load balance. The master board and the slave board each perform load sharing processing on an SRS signal of a user. The slave board including the baseband processing module is added, thereby improving the baseband processing capability of the LTE base station.

  • Patent number: 9307559
Abstract: A mobile telecommunications system including mobile terminals of first type and second type configured to transmit uplink data to a network over a radio interface using plural sub-carriers. The mobile terminals of first type configured to transmit uplink data on a first group of the sub-carriers over a first bandwidth and the mobile terminals of second type configured to transmit uplink data on a second group of the sub-carriers within the first group of sub-carrier over a second bandwidth smaller than the first bandwidth. The mobile terminals of first type transmit random access request messages to a base station of the network requesting uplink radio resources on a first random access channel. The mobile terminals of second type transmit random access request messages to the base station of the network requesting uplink radio resources on a second random access channel on sub-carriers within the second sub-carrier group.

  • Patent number: 9277511
Abstract: A UE communication device is provided having a transmitter architecture that transmits SRS transmissions and PUSCH transmissions. A reference mode chosen from a LPM, an MPM and an HPM is selected based on a present power mode of the SRS transmission or based on a predicted power mode that the PUSCH transmission following the present SRS transmission will likely operate in. The transmitter architecture has an exemplary extended switching point structure allowing the RPD between the SRS transmission used for pre-quarter selection and the subsequent PUSCH transmission applying the pre-quarter to be minimized.

  • Patent number: 9258825
Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to transmit and receive CSI-RSs adequately even when the number of CSI-RSs increase following the increase of antennas. The present invention provides a base station apparatus (20) that transmits CSI-RSs to a mobile terminal apparatus (10A) which is capable of receiving CSI-RSs for channel state measurement from a plurality of antennas, and to a mobile terminal apparatus (10B) which is capable of receiving CSI-RSs from a smaller number of antennas than the mobile terminal apparatus, and this base station apparatus has a CSI-RS allocation section (211) which allocates CSI-RSs for the number of antennas which the mobile terminal apparatus (10A) supports, to radio resources, and a transmitting/receiving section which reports, to the mobile terminal apparatus (10A), the resources where the CSI-RSs are allocated, and which, upon reporting the resources where CSI-RSs are allocated, to the mobile terminal apparatus (10B), reports part of the resources as resources to be muted.

  • Patent number: 9231658
Abstract: Systems and methods for setting a Network Allocation Vector (NAV) in a PLC node are disclosed. In a PLC standard, coexistence is achieved by having the nodes detect a common preamble and backing off by a Coexistence InterFrame Space (cEIFS) time period to help the node to avoid interfering with the other technologies. In one embodiment, a PHY primitive is sent from the PHY to the MAC know that there has been a preamble detection. A two-level indication may be used—one indication after receiving the preamble and other indication after decoding the entire frame. The MAC sets NAV to EIFS if a native preamble is detected. The MAC sets NAV to cEIFS if only a coexistence preamble is detected or if a non-native preamble is detected.

  • Patent number: 9185639
Abstract: A system and method of assisting a radio in finding a network is presented. A method first detects existing nodes. A message is received on a slow communication link in a slow network from a new node. One or more existing nodes are found that may connect to new node with a fast communication link in a fast network. The fast network has a data rate that is faster than the slow network. A message is transmitted over the slow network to the new node to provide the new node possible existing nodes that are near it that it may connect to. Based on that message the new node establishes a fast communications link on the fast network between the new node and an existing node. The fast communications link can be a directional link.

  • Patent number: 9167535
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a user equipment for use in a wireless communication system. The method and user equipment allow for transmit power adjustment of the transmit power of a selected of a plurality of antennas of the user equipment. The method comprised a transmit power adjustment phase during which it is test (23) is performed to decrease the transmit power of the selected antenna. A number of TPC commands are then analyzed (24) to determine a result of the decreased transmit power indicating a change in received power at a base station. Based on the determined result it is decided to continue (27) with the decreased transmit power or to resume (26) the previous transmit power of the selected antenna after completion of the transmit power adjustment phase.
