Abstract: Facilitation of determination of detailed location of a source signal is provided. In one embodiment, a device comprises a memory that stores computer executable components; and a processor that executes computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise: a low-resolution computation logic component that implements a coarse algorithm and determines an approximate direction of arrival (DOA) of a source signal of an input signal, wherein the coarse algorithm uses both a coarse spatial grid and input data received from the input signal to determine the approximate DOA; and an error estimation logic component that estimates an estimation error of the coarse algorithm, and wherein the error estimation logic component uses the estimation error and the approximate DOA to determine a spatial interval range.

  • Patent number: 11079417
Abstract: Techniques for detecting electrical meter bypass theft are described herein. In one example, a time-series of voltage-changes and current-changes associated with electrical consumption measured at a meter are obtained. The time series may track associated voltage and current changes at short intervals (e.g., 5-minutes). The voltage and current changes may indicate a slight voltage change when an appliance is turned on or off. An analysis (e.g., a regression analysis) may be performed on the voltage-changes against the current-changes. Using the correlation from the analysis, it may be determined if the meter was bypassed.

  • Patent number: 11079418
Abstract: A signal processing method generates a time-frequency domain representation of an input signal for the purpose of signal detection, signal display, and application of filtering operations, such as sample accurate spectral editing. The method may include receiving an input signal in the time domain in a processor. The input signal may include a plurality of transform frames. The input signal is transformed into the frequency domain using a frequency transform. Time-frequency matrices are generated from the frequency transform. Crossfrequency phase coupling is applied between adjacent frequency bins to introduce synchronization between adjacent frequencies and to generate smoothed time-frequency matrices with sample-accurate frequency magnitudes. The frequency information can be edited in the time-frequency domain specific to a single sample of the transform frame to alter unwanted signal features.

  • Patent number: 11068840
Abstract: An inventory management device wherein the user inputs a material of known characteristics such as weight, thickness, and width, or length into a computer via user interface. The device calculates the length of the material and displays the remaining coiled length on a display screen. When the user is ready to feed the material, the material is rolled over a feed wheel, which turns a measure wheel. The measure wheel communicates with a computer control chip to deduct the quantity fed off the coil. The actual remaining length is shown on the display screen in real time or near real time. When the user is finished working with the material, the user can select to print a label with a barcode to affix to the material. The barcode contains characteristics of the material so the material can be inventoried and/or reused on the feeder.

Abstract: This invention relates to a method of evaluating the identity of polymers and a system using the same, and more particularly to a novel method of evaluating the identity of polymers, wherein the identity of multiple polymers, rather than just one polymer, can be determined using only information about structures of the polymers, without the need to determine the characteristics of synthesized polymers through real-world experimentation. In order to evaluate the identity of polymers, the identity index PohoFactor(Xi) for each of target polymers is developed and used, and the identity of polymers can be accurately determined on a quantitative basis by evaluating correlations between the identity indices for all polymers, the identity of which is to be determined.
