  • Patent number: 9863725
Abstract: Ammonium carbamate-based methods and systems for management of thermal loads, particularly low-quality, high-flux thermal loads. The increase in temperature in heat sensitive devices is mitigated by the endothermic decomposition of ammonium carbamate into carbon dioxide and ammonia gases. This process has an energy density an order of magnitude greater than conventional thermal management materials and is particularly useful for temperatures between 20° C. and 100° C. Systems incorporating ammonium carbamate may be controlled by regulating the fluid flow, overhead pressure, temperature, or combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 9617955
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a cascade thrust reverser providing that when a sliding cowl and a flap are in a direct jet position, a hook is held in engagement with another hook and the flap is immobilized inside of a housing of the sliding cowl by a stem of a telescopic connecting rod subjected to pre-stress generated by a compressed spring located in the body of the connecting rod. When the sliding cowl starts to slide from the direct jet position toward the reverse jet position, the hooks disengage each other and the stem engages with an extension in the body of the connecting rod, so that the flap is rotated from the direct jet position toward the reverse jet position due to the tensile force exerted by the stem.
