  • Patent number: 10557504
Abstract: A linear guideway includes a rail, a slider disposed on the rail, and a load passage formed between the rail and the slider. The slider has two non-load passages penetrating through two opposite end surfaces of the slider. Each of two ends of each non-load passage is provided with a force sensor. Two end caps are disposed on two opposite end surfaces of the slider respectively and each have two circulation grooves. Each circulation groove is connected to an end of the load passage and an end of the non-load passage to form a circulation channel for balls to move therein. As a result, the linear guideway of the present invention employs force sensors to sense the force-receiving state of two ends of the non-load passages when they are impacted by the balls, so that it can be determined that if the balls have an abnormal pressing state.

  • Patent number: 10557501
Abstract: A noncontact fluid bearing is manufactured by disposing a flow controller in a cavity of a carrier to form a pressure chamber within the cavity. A sealing layer of the flow controller is located between a porous layer of the flow controller and the pressure chamber and has micro through holes communicating with the pressure chamber and pores of the porous layer. Because the sealing layer is located in the pressure chamber and a surface of the porous layer is exposed by a housing of the carrier, the noncontact fluid bearing can be processed from the exposed surface of the porous layer to conform standards of thickness and flatness. Furthermore, the sealing layer peeling from the noncontact fluid bearing is prevented.

  • Patent number: 10520016
Abstract: Improved bearing roller elements are disclosed. Vanes are added to a ring-roller type element which allow fluids to flow through a bearing assembly in a controlled manner. The fluids can then provide convection cooling. The vaned ring-roller elements allow the creation of a pump, either as part of the bearing assembly's cooling system or as a dedicated device. The use of magnetic spokes in ring-roller type elements which can be used with or without the vanes which allows them to be driven by an electromagnetic field is also disclosed, as is the use of such magnetic elements in the bearing roller elements to allow electromagnetic braking and/or regenerative braking. A bearing assembly incorporating the roller elements in a ring configuration and using pre-load to produce additional benefits is also disclosed.
