  • Patent number: 12250704
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. that support preconfigured uplink resources (PUR) in wireless communications. A base station may communicate that support for PUR is available, and may allocate PUR resources to a user equipment (UE) based on requests from the UE. The UE may receive an indication that the base station supports PUR, such as via a system information block (SIB), determine to request PUR, and transmit a PUR request message to the base station. A PUR response from the base station may indicate a PUR allocation for the UE that may be used for uplink transmissions. Uplink transmissions that use PUR may be acknowledged by the base station based on a QOS associated with the uplink transmissions.

  • Patent number: 12218844
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are included for load balancing processing of a data stream that is communicated over a network. An exemplary method includes establishing a communication session over a network between a source endpoint device and a destination endpoint device. A network device in the network receives a data stream that is communicated to the destination endpoint device from the source endpoint device during the communication session. The network device provides data corresponding to the data stream to a processing device. The processing device identifies a portion of the data that is assigned to the processing device and performs operations to process the portion of the data. After performing the operations, the processing device communicates a response corresponding to the processing to the source endpoint device by way of the destination endpoint device.

  • Patent number: 12133095
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for employing a machine learning-based approach such as adaptive Bayesian optimization to learn over time the most optimized assignments of incoming network requests to service function chains (SFCs) created within network slices of a 5G network. An optimized SFC assignment may be an assignment that minimizes an unknown objective function for a given set of incoming network service requests. For example, an optimized SFC assignment may be one that minimizes request response time or one that maximizes throughput for one or more network service requests corresponding to one or more network service types. The optimized SFC for a network request of a given network service type may change over time based on the dynamic nature of network performance. The machine-learning based approaches described herein train a model to dynamically determine optimized SFC assignments based on the dynamically changing network conditions.
