  • Patent number: 9656449
Abstract: A consolidation device has a dispensing assembly configured to dispense a composite precursor material onto a surface of a mould, and a first nozzle assembly configured to direct a fluid stream onto the free surface of the dispensed composite precursor material. The use of a fluid flow to consolidate the dispensed composite precursor material onto the surface of the mould makes the device simpler, more cost effective and causes less damage to the surface of the composite article.

  • Patent number: 7708918
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and device RIM involving a mixing chamber (1) with opposing injectors (2, 3). The efficiency is maximized through the operation in flow regimes with very strong mixing dynamics, which is assured by means of the introduction of schemes to: detect the flow regime within the mixing chamber, through the dynamic pressure measurement upstream of the injectors (2, 3), using means (5); and/or impose a chaotic flow regime, through the pulsation of the opposed jets, using means (6). Alterations in design, comparatively to the traditional geometries, are also proposed, concerning: the mixing chamber (1), being foreseen a prismatic rectangular chamber; the injectors (2, 3), being foreseen elongated injectors; and even the scheme of injection of the materials, using a third injector (4).

  • Patent number: 7691225
Abstract: Disclosed is a thermal-release double-coated pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet which includes a substrate, a foaming agent-free pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (A) arranged on one side of the substrate, and a foaming agent-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (B) arranged on the other side. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (A) contains 5 to 30 parts by weight of a plasticizer and 100 parts by weight of a base polymer and has a tensile adhesive strength of 1 N/20 mm in width or less with respect to a poly(ethylene terephthalate) film as determined at a peel angle of 180 degrees, a rate of pulling of 300 mm/minute, a temperature of 23±2° C., and a relative humidity of 65±5%. The weight loss of plasticizer is 2 percent by weight or less when the tape or sheet is heated at a temperature of 165° C. and a pressure of one atmosphere for one hour.

  • Patent number: 7604767
Abstract: A side gate type injection molding die prevents a weld line from being generated on a molded component made of a resin material to which a brightening agent is added, avoiding inferior appearance. The side gate type injection molding die including a product portion 7, which is a space for molding, and a side gate 8, which is used to inject the material into the product portion 7, in which the side gate 8 is formed so as to have a rectangular transverse cross section in a contact part 9 between the product portion 7 and the side gate 8, is configured so that at least one of corner parts 9e of the transverse cross section formed into a rectangular shape in the contact part 9 of the side gate 8 is formed in a curved shape; and the resin material to which the brightening agent is added is injected into the product portion 7 from the side gate 8 to manufacture a molded component 1.
