    Abstract: Multi-layer substrates comprising a top surface layer of pulp fibers, a bottom surface layer of pulp fibers, and a melted thermoplastic material layer between the pulp fiber layers, where the thermoplastic material comprises polyethylene or has a tan delta value of 0.2 to 0.4 within the temperature range of 100° F. to 350° F. The multi-layer substrate can include a cleaning composition loaded onto the multi-layer substrate, where a fluid pathway through the melted thermoplastic material allows the cleaning composition to travel from the top surface layer to the bottom surface layer. The multi-layer substrate may be void of chemical adhesives, where adhesion between the top surface layer and the thermoplastic layer, and between the bottom surface layer and the thermoplastic layer is instead provided by the thermoplastic material itself, which bonds to groups of fibers in the pulp fibers top and bottom surface layers that are in contact with the thermoplastic material as it melts.

This accelerates the movement of liquid water from a roofing deck into the nonwoven bottom layer and increases the rate of transfer of water through the underlayment. The bottom layer comprises a carrier resin and a hydrophilic agent, which may be a polyamide such as polycaprolactam (Nylon 6) or poly(hexamethylene adipamide), a polysorbate or other composition. The underlayment is especially useful for application to wet roofing decks.

The visible light-transparent and radiative-cooling multilayer film adopts a new film layer arrangement, so that the multilayer film has an extremely high visible light transmittance while achieving radiative cooling. Among others, the multilayer film is composed of two materials having high visible light-transmittance. Since there is a difference between dielectric constants of the two materials, a resonant cavity or resonant cavities may be formed among material layers. The resonant cavity may enhance the electric field therein, thereby increasing the radiance of the structure greatly. The present disclosure has the advantages of simple structure, easy to process, good cooling effect, high visible light transmittance and low cost.
