  • Patent number: 7811077
Abstract: There is provided a stamper on which stamper-side concave/convex patterns are formed and which is capable of manufacturing an information recording medium on which at least servo patterns are formed by concave/convex patterns. First convex parts that are continuously formed along a direction corresponding to a radial direction of the information recording medium are formed in the stamper-side concave/convex patterns. Each of the first convex parts is formed so that a height of a part of the first convex part from a reference plane, which is set between a front surface and a rear surface of the stamper, to protruding end of the first convex part increases as a length of the part of the first convex part in a direction corresponding to a circumferential direction of the information recording medium increases.

The blank is disposed between two opposing lateral walls which are positioned at a distance from one another. One of the walls supports several radiation sources which are disposed one above the other opposite the body of the blank. The space between the two lateral walls is closed at least partially beyond and close to the base of the blank. At least part of the radiation emitted beyond the base of the blank is reflected in the direction of the body of the blank. In this way, losses due to lost radiation are limited.

  • Patent number: 7794221
Abstract: An embedment device for use in a cementitious panel production line such as a structural cementitious panel (SCP) production line wherein hydraulic cement slurry is transported on a moving web on a support frame, and chopped fibers are deposited upon the slurry. The device includes as one embodiment, a wire grid structure mounted on a reciprocating shaft driven by a piston which moves the grid down into the slurry and then up out of the slurry transverse of the travel of the slurry layer on the web. An alternative embodiment device includes a grid cell structure with thin walls extending upward from the grid surface in contact with the slurry that is moved up and down in a reciprocating motion transverse of the travel of the slurry layer on the web. The intermeshing relationship of the grid cell with the fiber and slurry enhances embedment of the fibers into the slurry and also prevents clogging of the device by fibers and prematurely set slurry particles.
