  • Patent number: 11741525
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of purchasing gifts includes under control of one or more configured computing systems, selecting a gift item desired by a gift recipient, maintaining a list for the gift recipient that includes the selected gift item, and assigning a sales price to the selected gift item on the list. On a visual display, a processor is used for dividing the selected gift item into two or more gift parts that are available for individual purchase by gift contributors. The selected gift item is divided into the two or more gift parts on the visual display by showing a boundary on the visual display that defines a bounded area, showing the selected gift item on the visual display, inside the bounded area and surrounded by the boundary, and generating at least one dividing line inside the bounded area that divides the bounded area into two or more individual sections that are visible on the visual display, whereby each of the gift parts is located inside a different one of the individual sections.

  • Patent number: 11436665
Abstract: Techniques are described for enhancing a user's experience with a retail software application. In one technique, a first trigger event within a first widget of a first page of an application is detected. The first widget indicates a set of items associated with a user interacting with the application. A non-modal window is presented on the first page of the application in response to the detection of the first trigger event. The non-modal window includes information associated with items indicated by the first widget. A second trigger event associated with one of the items within the non-modal window is detected on the first page of the application. A selection state of the item is determined and stored in response to the second trigger event. The non-modal window is collapsed in response to detection of a third trigger event outside of the non-modal window.

  • Patent number: 11276100
Abstract: A system and method for predicting sellability of a fashion product is provided. The system includes a memory having computer-readable instructions stored therein. The system further includes a processor configured to access one or more catalogue images of a fashion product. The processor is configured to determine a plurality of visual attributes of the fashion product. The processor is further configured to determine a plurality of non-visual attributes corresponding to the fashion product. In addition, the processor is configured to estimate a first sellability confidence value for the reference fashion style using a deep learning model. The first sellability confidence value is estimated based upon the visual attributes. Further, the processor is configured to estimate a second sellability confidence value for the reference fashion style using a non-visual parameter model. The second sellability confidence value is estimated based upon the non-visual attributes.

  • Patent number: 11270369
Abstract: In implementations of systems for generating recommendations, a computing device implements a recommendation system to receive prior interaction data describing prior interactions of entities with items. The recommendation system processes the prior interaction data and segments the entities into a first set and a second set. The entities included in the first set have greater numbers of prior interactions with the items than the entities included in the second set. The recommendation system then generates subset data describing a subset of the entities in the first set. This subset excludes entities having numbers of the prior interactions with the items below a threshold. The recommendation system forms a recommendation model based on the subset data and the system uses the recommendation model to generate a recommendation for display in a user interface.

  • Patent number: 11151628
Abstract: A device may determine that a user device, associated with a user, and a first object for comparison are within a threshold proximity of one another. The device may communicate with the user device to obtain a comparison profile, associated with the user, based on determining that the user device and the first object are within the threshold proximity of one another. The device may identify, based on the comparison profile, a set of desired attributes. The device may identify, based on the comparison profile, a set of attribute categories to be used to compare the first object and the set of desired attributes. The device may determine a first set of attributes of the first object for the set of attribute categories. The device may present, for display, information that identifies one or more attributes of the first set of attributes or the set of desired attributes.

  • Patent number: 11151624
Abstract: A system generates a first gift selection matrix that includes a first set of items of interest to a recipient organized in columns of increasing cost and rows of decreasing interest to the recipient. The system transmits the first gift selection matrix to a first user computing device and to a second user computing device. Item selections are received from users, along with gift purchase contribution pledges. If the pledges are insufficient to cover a cost of one of the selected items, the system sends a request to the first user and the second user for either an a second gift selection, or a pledge of additional funds. If the new gift selections are not the same, or if the pledged amounts are insufficient to purchase a selected gift, the system generates a second gift selection matrix. The system transmits the second gift selection matrix to the first user computing device and the second user computing device. A final gift selection can be made from the second matrix.

  • Patent number: 11093992
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for efficiently meeting the needs of property buyers, sellers, and agents. Attributes of the user and of each property are combined and processed by a machine learning model. The output represents a prediction that a user will choose to view the property. Each property is ranked and displayed to the user. When the user selects a property, the interaction is used to update the machine learning model. In some cases, a natural language processing system identifies property and user attributes based on a natural language query. In some cases, a chatbot may respond to a natural language query in real time. The system may also be utilized to provide matching services for buyers or sellers to agents, or third party service providers, as well as matching buyers and sellers directly to each other, or user to other users for transaction, interaction and other needs.

  • Patent number: 11074637
Abstract: Self-checkout technologies for retail stores are improved by incorporation of enhanced fraud detection arrangements. For example, if a shopper enters an item on a self-checkout tally, while positioned at a location remote from the normal stock location for that item, a responsive action may be taken. Likewise, if a shopper enters the same item on a self-checkout tally twice, at widely separated times, a responsive action may be taken. These responsive actions can include dispatching a store clerk to assist the shopper, or increasing a risk score that is repeatedly re-calculated during the shopper's visit. A great variety of other features and arrangements (e.g., powering arrangements for mobile phones in shopping carts) are also detailed.

  • Patent number: 11055759
Abstract: A color selection image matching system can receive, from a computing device, image data captured by a camera in the user device, where the image data includes one or more colors. The computing device can extrapolate a subset of the colors and receive an indication of a target color to initiate a product search based on the target color. The subset of colors may be determined based on other image data, and selectable color elements may be generated for the subset of colors. In some embodiments, the system may generate a palette of colors visually similar to the target color. The target color and/or palette of colors can be cross-referenced with products colors, based on standardized or quantitative color descriptors, to determine relevant product search results matching the target color, which may be displayed on the user device.

Abstract: A service may provide an e-commerce platform through which users may search for, view, and purchase products. To ensure users receive relevant results when querying for particular products or product classes, a list of ranked classes may be generated, from which the query results are based. For example, products may be classified into classes and particular text from search data may be associated with one or more of the products based on click log data. For instance, input text from previously performed queries may be associated with products interacted with following those queries (e.g., products clicked on to view/purchase). Training data that associates the particular text with the respective one or more classes into which the clicked on products are classified may be generated, and in response to receiving a query including the particular text as input, the list of ranked classes may be generated based on the training data.
