  • Patent number: 12134547
Abstract: A method for controlling a hydraulic winch includes acquiring measurements from sensors coupled to the hydraulic winch. A first control function is computed based on the measurements. The first control function sets pressure across a variable displacement motor that produces motion of the tool string following a desired motion trajectory. A second control function is computed. The second control function sets displacement of a variable displacement pump that causes the pressure across the variable displacement motor to track the first control function. A pump command is selected based on the second control function. The pump command is transmitted to the variable displacement pump. The tool string moves responsive to the pump command.

  • Patent number: 12130604
Abstract: An embodiment includes retrofitting an existing control device with an automation panel that senses manual actuation of a control element of the control device, and automatically actuates the control element in response to a specified control signal. The embodiment collects state data indicative of an actuation state of the control element and context data of conditions at a time that the state data is collected, and generates a training dataset comprising collected state data and sensor data. It then uses this data to train a classification model to predict a control element actuation state based on sensor data. The embodiment deploys the trained classification model to process sensor data and upon detecting a mismatch between a predicted actuation state output from the trained classification model and an actual actuation state of the control element, the embodiment transmits the specified control signal to the automation panel to actuate the control element.

  • Patent number: 12124307
Abstract: A media streaming device includes a power manager, a stream processor, and a voltage detector. The power manager receives a power signal from the media playback device to supply power to the stream processor. The stream processor provides media stream to the media playback device for playback. The voltage detector is electrically coupled to the stream processor and captures at least a part of the power supply current to the stream processor. The stream processor is configured to determine whether the power supply voltage remains stable. When the supply voltage remains stable, the stream processor operates in a first mode to provide media stream. When the power supply voltage is unstable, the stream processor operates in a second mode to provide media stream, and the power consumption of the stream processor in the second mode is lower than the power consumption in the first mode.

  • Patent number: 12124316
Abstract: Methods and systems for reducing energy consumption. A method may include aggregating, for a prior time period, prior usage data from a plurality of computing nodes. Based on the aggregated prior usage data from the plurality of computing nodes, a usage threshold for decreasing cooling system output for the plurality of computing nodes and a local-time threshold for decreasing the cooling system output for the plurality of computing nodes are determined. Current usage data for the plurality of computing nodes is then received. When the current usage data reaches the usage threshold and the local time is after the local-time threshold, output of the cooling systems of the plurality of computing nodes is decreased.

  • Patent number: 12120991
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide systems and methods for controlling the flow of water through zones of an ancillary span of an irrigation system to achieve optimal water distribution for each of a plurality of sections of a field-of-interest to be irrigated by the ancillary span. The disclosed systems and methods optimally turn control zones on and off to minimize the flow variability of water supplied to the ancillary span. The technology described herein runs a series of simulations to determine an optimal irrigation plan for the ancillary span. The instantaneous average flow at different points within a simulation may be calculated. The plurality of instantaneous average flows are used to determine a variance statistic for the plurality, which is used to determine the optimal plan.

  • Patent number: 12117885
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for electronic device power consumption grading. In some examples, similar electronic devices may consume different amounts of power due to variations in components of the electronic devices. The components can include electrical components (e.g., discrete circuits, integrated circuits, etc.), mechanical components (e.g., motors, traces, etc.), electro-mechanical components (e.g., switches, motors, piezoelectric devices, etc.). Power consumption information for specific components can be determined and a power consumption grading for the specific electronic device can be determined from the power consumption information. A user may then utilize the power consumption grading to optimize a usage of the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 12093100
Abstract: Hierarchical Power Management (HPM) architecture considers the limits of scaling on a power management controller, the autonomy at each die, and provides a unified view of the package to a platform. At a simplest level, HPM architecture has a supervisor and one or more supervisee power management units (PMUs) that communicate via at least two different communication fabrics. Each PMU can behave as a supervisor for a number of supervisee PMUs in a particular domain. HPM addresses these needs for products that comprise a collection of dice with varying levels of power and thermal management capabilities and needs. HPM serves as a unified mechanism than can span collection of dice of varying capability and function, which together form a traditional system-on-chip (SoC). HPM provides a basis for managing power and thermals across a diverse set of dice.
