Abstract: Disclosed is a surface acoustic wave device comprising a piezoelectric substrate; an electrode unit formed on the piezoelectric substrate, the electrode unit including a drive electrode unit for generating surface acoustic waves and an external connection electrode unit; an electrically conductive electrode protecting unit for covering the drive electrode unit with a hollow therebetween, the electrode covering unit being formed on the piezoelectric substrate by use of a film forming technique; an electroconductive column formed on the external connection electrode unit; and an external connection terminal formed at the extremity of the electroconductive column, wherein the piezoelectric substrate is sealed by a resin with the exception of the external connection terminal and the electrode protecting unit.
Abstract: A vibration wave driven motor including a vibration member having a friction contact surface and a rotor having a contact surface, which is in contact with the vibration member. The contact surface of the rotor consists of a composite resin filled and blended with a wear modifier and a friction regulator, as needed, and has a Rockwell hardness of 80 to 110. The friction surface of the vibration member is formed by a multi-layered film of a nickel intermetallic compound having a Vickers hardness of 800 to 1,200.
Abstract: A chip type electronic part which comprises a chip main body of a cylindrical external shape having a circular cross section, and cap terminals also of a circular cross section applied onto opposite ends of the chip main body. The chip main body is covered, on its side peripheral face not applied with the cap terminals, by an outer covering member having a rectangular cross section, with an interval between a side face of the outer covering member and a corresponding side face of each of the cap terminals being set within a range of +0.2 mm to -0.2 mm.
