Abstract: The invention is a pivot support assembly for a bullet impact target. It includes a first plate and a second plate, the second plate having a pair of spaced-apart elongated slots formed therein. A pair of pivot support plates each have an extension portion sized to extend through one of the elongated slots and a base portion sized not to fit through the slot. Each of the extension portions including a pivot axis means. A clamp means secures the first and second plates together in a substantially parallel relationship. The extension portions of the pivot support plates are positioned through the slots such that the pivot axis means of each are substantially axially aligned with each other, the base portion is clamped between the first and second plates, and a bullet resistant target plate is supported for pivotal movement on the pivot axis means.

Abstract: A high caliber target includes a target plate and a stand. The target plate may be mounted on and removed from the stand. In accordance with one embodiment, the target plate can be mounted and removed without tools. In accordance with one embodiment, the target plate is presented to the shooter without joints or edges which could promote ricochets back toward the shooter. In accordance with another embodiment, the target plate can pivot on impact relative to the stand.

Abstract: Systems and methods to practice putting are provided. In one embodiment, the system includes a framework, actuators mounted to the framework, a control system, a computing device, and an artificial green. The control system is coupled to the actuators and controls actuation of the actuators. The computing device includes a display for viewing mapped green profiles and is configured to communicate with the control system. The artificial green includes a putting surface with a cup defined therein, wherein the artificial green is positioned over the actuators. With this arrangement, a user can select a putting region, after which, the computing device can translate and transfer the mapped data of the putting region to the controllers to actuate the actuators to, therefore, adjust the putting surface of the artificial green to correspond to the mapped green profile of an actual green.

Abstract: A method to create a water permeable and water shuttling sand bunker by forming a continuous bunker edge, installing a drain assembly, installing a synthetic tufted surface and a continuous integral edge overlapping polymer mesh, depositing a non-woven dual smooth surfaced geo-textile over the mesh and forming a sand layer. Water flows from the continuous bunker edge over the synthetic tufted surface and the non-woven dual smooth surfaced geo-textile to the drain assembly preventing the drain assembly from clogging, thereby forming a water permeable and water shuttling sand bunker.

Abstract: A composite ball bat or other sporting-good implement includes a handle and a barrel attached to or integral with the handle. The barrel has a wall including a first structural region and a second structural region between which a porous separation layer is positioned. The separation layer is at least partially coated with a release agent that prevents, or substantially prevents, adherence of the separation layer to at least one of the first or second structural regions.

Abstract: The remotely resettable target system is a set of practice targets for use when shooting a firearm. One or more non-resetting targets and a resetting target start in a vertical position where they are visible from uprange. When struck by a fired round, the one or more non-resetting targets 300 pivot to a horizontal position and disappear from sight. When struck by a fired round, the resetting target pivots to a non-vertical position and then returns to the vertical position. While in the non-vertical position, the resetting target releases the one or more non-resetting targets, causing the one or more non-resetting targets to pivot back to the vertical position.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides an tee hockey stick handle providing improved grip and tactile feel to a player, and having a cross-section symmetric about one centerline and asymmetric about another orthogonal centerline, a section line parallel and offset from said second centerline dividing said cross-section into a bottom profile comprising an irregular convex polygon with or without rounded and/or beveled edges, and a top rectangular profile with or without rounded and/or beveled edges. The sides of the cross-section, may be linear or slightly concave.

Abstract: A ball toss game and method of playing enables multiple players that form two teams to take turns tossing two sets of uniquely colored or patterned balls into two silos positioned at a predetermined distance from each other, and then award points for a final ball thrown into a top position of the silo. Two sets of balls having unique color or patterns are tossed into the receiving opening of silo. As balls are tossed into the silos, a stacked arrangement forms until final ball is tossed into a top position of stacked arrangement. Points are awarded to the team having the final ball in the top position. The silos have a top funnel forming a receiving opening, a bottom base, and a tube extending between top funnel and bottom base. A restriction member block and releases the balls from falling into the bottom base to be retrieved.

Abstract: A ball net structure arranged to be portable, collapsible, and provide the required structural support to receive or capture a projectile, such as but not limited to a soccer ball or baseball. The ball net structure comprises a support portion, first and second extensions, a first bracket pivotally coupling the first extension to the support portion, a second bracket pivotally coupling the second extension to the support portion, first and second flexible rods removably coupled to the support portion, and a net received by at least the first and second extensions and received by at least the first and second flexible rods. The net is configured to bend the first and second flexible rods from a linear state to an arcuate state, such that a net tension holds the net upright.

Abstract: A putter head swinging assembly for striking a golf ball includes a ball striking assembly that strikes a golf ball. A mat has a top side and a well that extends therein. The golf ball striking assembly is positioned on the top side. The golf ball striking assembly includes a stand has a top end and a bottom end. The bottom end defines a flat base. The stand has an aperture that extends therethrough. A shaft that has a first end and a second end extends through the aperture. A swing arm is attached to the first end and extends downwardly therefrom. A putter head is attached to a bottom of the swing arm such that when the shaft is rotated in a first direction the swing arm swings in the first direction and when released the swing arm moves in a second direction and strikes the golf ball.

Abstract: A shooting target for use with high-power firearms comprising one or more movable targets moveably connected to an upstanding post. The post includes an elongate target guide structure defined by hollow cylinder with a guide slot in the cylinder wall. The target has a pivot section with a target arm extending generally perpendicularly therefrom and a distally disposed target face connected to the arm. The cylinder is sized to receive the pivot section therein so that the target arm extends outwardly though the guide slot, the guide slot configured to simultaneously direct movement of the target from one side of the guide to the other and downwardly as the target rotated in the guide structure following impact by a bullet. The target arm is configured to position the target adjacent to the upstanding post where it is visible to the shooter. The upstanding post is provided with a V-shaped impingement structure disposed facing the shooter and between the target support structure and the shooter.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment the present invention can provide a modular shooting target for shooting practice having a first target component and a second target component, a trigger release element positioned adjacent to one of the first target component and the second target component and a connector element having a first end and a second end, the first end engaged with the trigger release element and the second end fixed to a secondary attachment point.

Abstract: A gaming kit including a number of rolling pieces, a number of tossing pieces, and a number of target zone markers, the gaming kit to be used by two or more players for gameplay on a large gaming surface, gameplay including rolling the rolling pieces toward the target zone markers and tossing the tossing pieces toward the rolling pieces, with players' scores being dependent upon where in relation to the target zone marker the rolling pieces come to rest and where in relation to the rested rolling pieces the tossing pieces come to rest.

Abstract: A laser targeting apparatus rests on a surface and moves, such as by vibrating, wobbling, or shaking, when struck by laser light of sufficient intensity. The apparatus is designed not to fall over, so a user does not have to move to the apparatus and pick it up after a strike. The apparatus has a body that includes a structure, which is preferably one or more printed circuit boards including light sensors, for detecting strikes of laser light, and a motor. When a strike of laser light is detected, power is provided to the motor, which vibrates and causes the apparatus to move.

Abstract: A sleeve or grip for use on a ball bat or other sporting-good implement includes a low-friction inner surface and a longitudinal slit that facilitates its positioning on, and removal from, a handle of the implement. The grip is rotatable about the handle so that a user's hand may move into an optimal position during a swing. The grip may be readily removable from the implement so that, after a swing, it stays with the user, as opposed to remaining on the implement.

Abstract: A sports training device includes a target having a mounting arm and an attachment. The mounting arm includes a set of front holes and a set of back holes. The hole sets are separated by at least a quarter of the circumference of an in situ support. The attachment includes a strap, hook, and tab. The first and the second ends of a strap are threaded through the front hole set thus forming a loop and then threaded through the back hole set. The strap ends are threaded through the holes on the tab. A hook is positioned on the loop. The tab includes a hole for the hook and two pair of tab holes for the strap. The first end is threaded through the first pair of tab holes while the second end is threaded through the second pair of tab holes.

Abstract: The NON-LETHAL Combat Sport Robot is a tactical tool for people in the combat sports world. The robot can move through terrain and has a movable upper head piece to aim non-lethal guns and a camera to defeat opponents. It is equipped to be able to play within the rules and confines of the Combat sports. It achieves this by introducing a suite of devices including non lethal guns, mercy shot light, death flag and hit switches to comply with traditional combat sport rules.

Abstract: A construct for a hockey blade that includes a foam core. The foam core includes a first core face, a second core face, and a bottom core edge and a top core edge. Multiple pins are injected into the foam core, and one or more layers of resin preimpregnated tape are wrapped around the foam before forming a hockey blade structure in a heated mold.

Abstract: A bullet trap is disclosed which is formed without intervening sidewalls to enable cross-shooting and the like with reduced risk or ricochet or damage to the bullet trap. Furthermore, the bullet trap can be configured in a variety of ways to eliminate the need for facing plates while providing a removable attachment mechanism, to enable repair on the trap, to reduce bullet adhesion to the trap and to provide improved containment of lead and improved access to the trap.
