  • Patent number: 9636963
Abstract: An end member assembly (204; 404) that is dimensioned for use in forming a gas spring assembly (200; 400) can include an end member body (248; 448) that is dimensioned for securement to a flexible spring member (206; 406) of the gas spring assembly (200; 400). The end member assembly (204; 404) can also include a compliant support structure (250; 450) that is operatively connected to the end member body (248; 448) to support the end member body in spaced relation to an associated structural component (SC2). The end member body (248; 448) can include a side wall (256; 456) that extends in overlapping (OL1; OL2) relation with at least a portion of the compliant support structure (250; 450). The end member (204; 404) can also form at least one chamber (296; 508) within the end member body (248; 448) and compliant support structure (250; 450). A gas spring assembly (200; 400) and a suspension system (118) are also included.

  • Patent number: 8746630
Abstract: In a switch including a switch frog (1) with a movable frog point (2) and wing rails (5, 6), wherein the wing rails (5, 6) in the region of the frog point (2) each have a rail profile which is lower than that of a standard rail, the wing rails (5, 6) are designed as Vignol rails whose region configured with a lower rail profile is produced by metal-forming departing from the Vignol rail profile.

  • Patent number: 8250066
Abstract: A ranking method and system. The method includes receiving by a computing system, from a user, a keyword associated with a search for information. The computing system generates a results list comprising links to files comprising data associated with the keyword. The computing system generates and displays a first ranked results list comprising the links in a first ranked order. The computing system receives from the first user, a selection for a first link of the links. The computing system determines that the first link comprises relevant information associated with the keyword. The computing system generates a second ranked results list. The second ranked results list comprises the links in a second ranked order differing from the first ranked order. The first link is listed as a first selection on the second ranked results list. The computing system stores the second ranked results list.

  • Patent number: 8190628
Abstract: Aspects directed to phrase generation are provided. A method is provided that includes identifying a plurality of phrase candidates from a plurality of text string entries in a corpus. For each phrase candidate: identifying a plurality of left contexts and a plurality of right contexts for the phrase candidate, each left context of the plurality of left contexts being a nearest unique feature to the right of the phrase candidate in a text string entry and each right context of the plurality of right contexts being the nearest unique feature to the right of the phrase candidate, and calculating a left context vector including a score for each left context feature and a right context vector including a score for each right context feature of the phrase candidate. A similarity is determined between pairs of phrase candidates using the respective left and right context vectors for each phrase candidate.

  • Patent number: 8112414
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and system for reducing locking in materialized query tables (MQT) for distributive functions. The apparatus includes an insert module that inserts into an MQT table a child record when a new record is inserted into a base table associated with the MQT. The child record includes values associated with the insert operation. Also included is a delete module that inserts into the MQT a child record that includes measure values that are the negative of the measure values in the base table row that is the subject of the delete operation. An update module inserts two child rows into the MQT, one negating the affected record and the other adding the values of the update operation. Each inserted child row includes a unique identifier that relates the inserted row to a parent row. An execution module generates responses using the values indicated by the cumulative records in a family.
