Patent number: 9300176Abstract: A rotating electric machine includes a stator having a stator coil and a rotor provided rotatably around a specific rotation axis with respect to the stator. The rotor includes a plurality of magnets, a plurality of magnetically-assisted salient pole members provided between poles of any adjacent two magnets from among the plurality of magnets, and a magnetoresistance variation unit provided in the magnetically-assisted salient pole member along an axial direction of the rotation axis at a position offset in a circumferential direction of the rotation axis from a q-axis passing through a salient pole center of the magnetically-assisted salient pole member. The amount of offset of the magnetoresistance variation unit from the q-axis varies depending on positions of the magnetically-assisted salient pole members so that torque fluctuations cancel each other when power is applied.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 2009Date of Patent: March 29, 2016Assignee: Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd.Inventors: Yasuyuki Saito, Tsuyoshi Goto, Kenichi Nakayama, Noriaki Hino, Shinji Sugimoto

Patent number: 9154022Abstract: An alternator includes a B+ bolt, rectifier B+ terminals, a bus having bends respectively surrounding ones of the rectifier B+ terminals and having an end formed into a ring terminal, and a stop, where the bus ring terminal is placed onto the B+ bolt and a load cable ring terminal may be placed onto the B+ bolt in direct contact with the bus ring terminal and secured thereto by the stop. A method of connecting B+ on an alternator includes bending a copper bus conductor so that one side of the bus conductor surrounds and abuts each of the rectifier B+ terminals, shaping one end of the bus conductor into a ring terminal, and placing the ring terminal of the bus conductor onto the B+ stud. A method includes coupling the B+ terminals and the B+ stud together with a copper bus conductor, and cooling the copper bus conductor.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2013Date of Patent: October 6, 2015Assignee: Remy Technologies, LLCInventor: Michael D. Patent number: 9061833Abstract: A drum motor for driving a conveyor belt has a drum motor shell that has at least one torque transfer section in which the outer surface of the shell is polygonal in cross-section. A sprocket having a polygonal, preferably hexagonal inner recess may be provided for transferring torque from the drum motor to a modular belt. Motor components are in a hollow space of the shell, namely a rotor and stator, a first bearing journal arranged on a first end of the shell and a second bearing journal arranged on a second end of the shell, the rotor and stator being mechanically coupled to the shell and to the first and second bearing journals in such a way that relative rotation between the rotor and stator causes relative rotation between the drum motor shell, for the one part, and the first and second bearing journals, for the other part.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2012Date of Patent: June 23, 2015Assignee: INTERROLL HOLDING AGInventors: Gerhard Froebus, Siegmund Dudek, Palani Velladurai

Patent number: 9035534Abstract: The electrical energy generating system of the present invention comprises a piece of alignment Buckypaper, an energy generator, a thin deposition and two contacts. The alignment Buckypaper is a thin sheet made from an aggregate of carbon nanotubes. The thin deposition is formed on at least one surface of the alignment Buckypaper by electrolysis to form a semimetal material. A contact is connected with the upper surface of the alignment Buckypaper and the other contact is connected with the lower surface of the alignment Buckypaper. In use, the energy generated by the generator is inputted to the alignment Buckypaper. The energy then ionizes the molecules contained in the alignment Buckypaper. The positive charges move to the upper contact and the negative charges move to the lower contact. Such electrical energy may then be fed to a load connected with the two contacts to do work on the load.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2012Date of Patent: May 19, 2015Inventor: Hsin Yuan Miao

Patent number: 8887378Abstract: A flat commutator having a support body, carbon segments, and conductor segments. The support body is formed on a carbon ring disk, which is later separated into carbon segments that are insulated from one another, the support body sitting against the carbon ring disk radially outward, radially inward, and against the end face of the carbon ring disk, the end face lying opposite the brush contact surface. The conductor segments are subsequently applied individually such that a contact pin of each segment penetrates a cavity that extends from the support body surface lying opposite the brush contact surface to the surface of the segments or of the carbon ring disks, the surface lying opposite the brush contact surface; and the free end of the contact pin contacts the surface of the segments or of the carbon ring disk, the surface lying opposite the brush contact surface.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2012Date of Patent: November 18, 2014Assignee: Kolektor Group D.O.O.Inventors: Marjam Drmota, Damjan Kumer, Silvester Jesenko

Patent number: 8836195Abstract: A motor is provided. When m is half of a number of slots of one phase and n is a divisor of m, the overall parallel winding of a total number of parallels p is equally divided n-fold into partial parallel windings Ni, having a number of parallels p/n, each partial parallel winding Ni comprises m sub-coils, the m sub-coils including n types of m/n sub-coils having a number of turns tj, at least one of the sub-coils differing in number of turns from the other sub-coils, and, for each pair of the slots in the stator, one sub-coil of each partial parallel winding Ni is wound around the pair of slots, and n sub-coils wound around the pair of the slots include every one of the n types of the sub-coils of the numbers of tj.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2011Date of Patent: September 16, 2014Assignee: Okuma CorporationInventor: Takanori Yokochi

Patent number: 8648518Abstract: A power driven component inside a compressor is disposed with a stator and rotors. The stator has an iron core in a circular ring and stator coils in a tightly wound manner. A vertical interval is formed between adjacent stator coils. A cover body is formed on the stator and a shield member that is formed with an upper portion along each stator coil and bending curve portions at two sides of the upper portion. Each bending curve portion is extended toward the interval from the upper portion. A sealed cover portion is connected between the bending curve portions of the upper portion and correspondingly seals each interval to reduce noise of the compressor and oil circulation rate.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2011Date of Patent: February 11, 2014Assignee: Rechi Precision Co., Ltd.Inventors: Wen-Ho Yu, Fu-Rong Chen, Hung-Ming Liao, Chih-Chung Chen
