    Abstract: A motor vehicle door lock apparatus includes a meshing mechanism to mesh with a striker, a locking and unlocking mechanism switches between an unlocking state where a meshing can be released and a locking state where a meshing cannot be released, a control unit to authenticate a transmitter signal and to enable an outside operation switch when the transmitter is authenticated with the transmitter situated outside a vehicle, and an electric releasing mechanism to release a meshing as a result of the control unit driving the releasing motor to activate a releasing operation based on the outside operation switch when the control unit authenticates the transmitter, and the control unit switches from an authenticating state to a non-authenticating state when the transmitter outside the vehicle leaves an authenticating area and drives a locking and unlocking motor activating a locking operation when the control unit is switched to the non-authenticating state.
