  • Patent number: 9488289
Abstract: A variable displacement compressor for an air conditioning system includes a suction throttle valve. The suction throttle valve includes a housing with a cavity formed therein. A first piston reciprocatingly disposed in the cavity is configured to cause a variable restriction of a flow of refrigerant through a suction inlet formed in the housing. The suction inlet provides fluid communication between a suction port and the cavity formed in the housing. The refrigerant flows through the suction port in a direction that is not parallel to a direction the piston reciprocates within the cavity. The suction throttle valve is configured to increase the restriction in the suction inlet when a crankcase pressure associated with the variable displacement compression is increased relative to an external suction pressure of the refrigerant entering the suction throttle valve.

  • Patent number: 9468716
Abstract: Flow control devices.—In a general embodiment, the present disclosure provides a cassette (30) comprising a housing having a flow restrictor (34), and a tube (36) attached to the housing and positioned adjacent the flow restrictor. The flow restrictor may be so constructed and arranged to rotate from a first position in which the flow restrictor prevents fluid flow through the tube to a second position in which fluid is able to flow through the tube when the cassette is positioned inside a pumping device. As a result, the cassette is designed to prevent free flow of fluid when an enteral feeding tube set is not installed in a pumping device.

Abstract: Provided is an eccentric valve and a manufacturing method thereof. The eccentric valve has a tri-offset structure, and comprises: a valve body, a valve seat, a valve unit, a valve stem and a seal. The disc-shaped valve unit is disposed in a through hole centered in the valve body. The valve stem penetrates shaft holes on the valve unit and the valve body. Rotating the valve stem causes rotation of the valve unit for closing/opening the through hole. The valve seat is mounted on the inner surface of the through hole, and the seal is mounted on the outer surface of the valve unit. When the through hole is closed, the valve seat and the seal are mutually engaged. The inner surface of the valve seat is part of an oblique cone.
