The laser processing head (100) solves the contradiction between high energy density laser and the system reliability through gradual coupling. Also provided are a laser processing system and a laser processing method.

    Abstract: A microwave heating apparatus and a method for heating/browning a piece of food by means of microwaves are provided. The microwave heating apparatus further comprises a microwave source for generating microwaves and a rotatable antenna arranged at the cavity bottom for supplying the generated microwaves. The antenna is configured to produce at least one radiating lobe pointing towards the browning region such that the intersection between the radiating lobe and the browning region forms a hot spot, thereby forming a ring-shaped heating pattern in the browning region under rotation of the antenna. The present invention is advantageous in that a microwave heating apparatus with an improved crisp function is provided.

    Abstract: A method for the preparation of steel sheets for fabricating a welded steel blank is provided. The sheets have a principal face, an opposite principal face, and at least one secondary face. The sheets are positioned so a gap between 0.02 and 2 mm exists between the secondary faces. The secondary faces face each other. The positioning of the first and second sheets defines a median plane perpendicular to the principal faces. Layers of metal alloy are removed by melting and vaporization simultaneously on the principal faces, in a peripheral zone of the sheets, the peripheral zones being the zones of the principal faces closest in relation to the median plane.

    Abstract: A semiconductor wafer held by a holding part in a chamber is irradiated and heated with halogen light emitted from a plurality of halogen lamps. A cylindrical louver and an annular light-shielding member, both made of opaque quartz, are provided between the halogen lamps and the semiconductor wafer. The outer diameter of the light-shielding member is smaller than the inner diameter of the louver. Light emitted from the halogen lamps and passing through a clearance between the inner wall surface of the louver and the outer circumference of the light-shielding member is applied to a peripheral portion of the semiconductor wafer where a temperature drop is likely to occur. On the other hand, light travelling toward an overheat region that has a higher temperature than the other region and appears in the surface of the semiconductor wafer when only a louver is installed is blocked off by the light-shielding member.
