  • Patent number: 8127450
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of producing a construction, in particular a sandwich construction for the aeronautical and aerospace fields, comprising the following steps. A heating material is initially applied on one side of a core construction material. In a further step a reinforcing element is introduced into the core construction material and the heating material in such a way that the reinforcing element extends through the core construction material and the heating material and has a portion which projects beyond the heating material. The heating material is then heated to soften the projecting portion at least in regions and said projecting portion is subsequently deformed using the softened region as a pivot point to engage the core construction material from behind and to form the construction. This method is distinguished in particular by the fact that it allows the portions to be heated substantially simultaneously, and not sequentially as in the state of the art.

  • Patent number: 8069545
Abstract: A method for changeover of a blow molding machine without a long dead time is disclosed. The blow molding machine includes a plurality of blow mold holders, each of which carries a multi-part blow mold. At least one part of the blow mold is connected with a media supply. At first, at least two working areas are being assigned at the blow molding machine. Different processes are carried out at each working area. The blow mold holder is opened at least at the first working area and/or the media supplies are released. The parts of the blow mold are removed from the blow mold holder at a second working area and are replaced with a blow mold of another type.

  • Patent number: 8051543
Abstract: The invention provides a composite working lathe capable of improving the efficiency of workpiece machining area by arranging a workpiece handling device below a spindle of the composite working lathe. The composite working lathe 1 comprises a spindle 20 and a tool spindle 30 on a bed 10. A workpiece handling device 40 arranged below the spindle 20 can be moved along a W axis parallel to the axis line C1 of the spindle. The workpiece handling device 40 has a workpiece handling head 50 that pivots in the direction of arrow F around an axis line C2, and grips the workpiece K1 via a gripper 60. The axis line C2 is an axis perpendicular to the vertical plane including the axis line C1 of the spindle 20, and the workpiece handling head 50 is raised for 90 degrees when the gripper 60 receives the workpiece K1 from the spindle 20. The angular position of the workpiece handling head 50 is allocated and the workpiece K1 is machined via a tool T1 on the tool spindle 30.

  • Patent number: 8042240
Abstract: A machine tool is provided with a machining unit, a base plate, an intermediate plate, a lower plate, and a pair of upper plates. The machining unit is fixed to a frame. The base plate is movable along a rail on the frame. The base plate moves a work piece toward and away from the machining unit. The intermediate plate is movable along the rail between the machining unit and the base plate. The intermediate plate pushes a reference plane of the work piece set on the base plate so that the work piece is positioned in a machining position. The lower plate is tiltably connected to the base plate and the upper plates are tiltably connected to the lower plate.

  • Patent number: 7988606
Abstract: The invention relates to a machine comprising a mechanical guide element (2a, 2b) for guiding the displacement of a first (3a, 3b) and a second device (4a, 4b). The machine comprises a first drive device (5a, 5b, 10a) for displacing the first device (3a, 3b) along the guide element (2a, 2b), and a second drive device (6a, 6b, 10b) for displacing the second device (4a, 4b) along the same guide element (2a, 2b) as the first device (3a, 3b). The mechanical construction of a machine is simplified due to said invention.

  • Patent number: 7972097
Abstract: This invention is related to a rigid tapping feedback assembly that is adapted to being retrofit on a milling machine having a spindle with a spindle end extending beyond a bearing cap and an automated drive. In embodiments, the assembly comprising a housing, spindle-pulley adapter that is drivably engaged with the spindle end, pulley assembly, shaft assembly, housing cover plate, and rotary encoder. The housing mounts to the bearing cap and holds the shaft assembly in substantially parallel-spaced alignment with the spindle-pulley adapter. The pulley assembly mechanically links the spindle-pulley adapter and the shaft assembly, typically utilizing pulleys and a timing belt. The housing cover plate mounts to the housing enclosing the assembly components above and supporting the rotary encoder in substantial axial alignment with the shaft assembly. In operation, the rotary encoder senses spindle rotational speed spindle and provides feedback to the automated drive to control downward movement of the spindle.
