Abstract: A system and a method for deterring unauthorized access to an account. The method includes the steps of receiving a user login request from one of a plurality of account holder computers, then identifying a username associated with the received user login request, a time associated with the received user login request, and an internet protocol (IP) address associated with the received user login request. The method and system determine a number of prior login requests received from the identified IP address during a duration of time TR prior to the identified time. Each of the received login requests has a unique username that is different than the identified username. The method includes the step of disabling access to the account associated with the identified username when the determined number of received login requests is above a request threshold B.

Abstract: System and method for facilitating account access delegation are provided. Login credentials are authenticated for a first account of a first funding source of a first user. A request from the first user to delegate, to a second account of a second user, access to the first funding source is received. A redirected login request from a merchant web application is further received. The redirected login request corresponds to the second account. A determination is made, based on the received request, that the second account is permissioned to use the first funding source. In response to the determination, a login of the first user account is caused on the merchant web application. The logging in of the first user account on the merchant web application causes the first funding source to be applied to an electronic transaction performed on the merchant web application under control of the second user.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for providing instructions when receiving biometric data associated with a user. For instance, a device may detect a portion of a user, such as a hand. The device may then display a first graphical element indicating a target location for placing the portion of the user above the user-recognition device. Additionally, the device may determine locations of the portion of the user above the device. The device may then display a second graphical element indicating the locations, such as when the locations are not proximate to the target location. Additionally, the device may display instructions for moving the portion of the user to the target location. Based on detecting that the location of the portion of the user is proximate to the target location, the device may send data representing the portion of the user to a remote system.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a fraud alert management system with real-time remediation and integration with the originating system. The system obtains an electronic file that includes an exception information data structure comprising exception information representing one or more events and automatically parses the exception information into events for the customers associated with the events. For each customer, the system sends an event notification message with a link to an authentication interface of the payor financial institution. After the customer is authenticated, the system provides a user interface that displays information for each event and a display element for reporting fraud. Responsive to the customer selecting the display element for reporting fraud, the system sends a fraud reporting messages to the payor financial institution and the payee financial institution.

Abstract: A system for generating a fraud risk score for a third party provider (TPP) transaction. The system includes a server including an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to determine a frequency-recency-monetary value feature, a reputation feature, and a rule feature for a TPP transaction, using the frequency-recency-monetary value feature, the reputation feature, and the rule feature as input for a machine learning model, execute the machine learning model to generate a blended score, and, when the blended score is above a second predetermined threshold, determine that the TPP transaction is fraudulent.

Abstract: A computerized method produces an identity code to identify each subject stored in the computer systems connected to a computer network while protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the subject. A central computer system receives an identity code of a suspect of a financial crime and sends the identity code to all computer systems connected to the computer network. The computer systems that have the matched identity code send the requested information to the central computer system. As a result, law enforcement organizations can eliminate crimes and financial institutions can recover the money stolen from them. In addition, law enforcement organizations and financial institutions can identify money launderers that are missed by their anti-money laundering transactional monitoring systems.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for locking-in currency exchanges. One method includes providing, by a graphical user interface (GUI) of a wallet application, a customer request, wherein the customer request is a request for a currency transfer between a customer account of the customer to a recipient account of a recipient, wherein the customer account is associated with a first type of currency and the recipient account is associated with a second type of currency, presenting, by the GUI of the wallet application, a locked-in exchange rate for a time limit and data corresponding to the exchange rate and the time limit, exchanging, by the wallet application, an amount of the first type of currency for an amount of the second type of currency based on the exchange rate, and receiving, by the GUI of the wallet application, an indication of a transferred amount for a currency transfer.

Abstract: A method for determining vehicle insurance costs includes receiving a starting location and a destination location for a trip using a vehicle. One or more routes for the vehicle from the starting location to the destination location are received. A cost of insurance is determined for each of the one or more routes for the trip. The cost of insurance for each of the one or more routes for the trip is displayed. A selected route from the one or more routes is received. Operation of the vehicle for the trip is enabled along the selected route.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a securities transaction system includes a ledger storing securities balances of security assets managed by a payment service and owned by users of the payment service. The securities balances relate to securities purchased on from a securities exchange system. The securities transaction system includes processors for executing instructions executable to send, to a mobile wallet application associated with the payment service, information regarding one or more of the security assets managed by the payment service; receive, from the mobile wallet application, a purchase request to acquire an amount of one of the security assets; update, via the ledger, the securities balances to reflect amounts of security assets respectively managed by the payment service and owned by the user based on the purchase request; and initiate one or more transactions from the securities exchange system to maintain a specified level of the security asset.

Abstract: A method for validating user credentials in a transaction initiated with a portable payment device associated with a biometric verification process including establishing a communication protocol between the portable payment device and the point-of-sale system, determining at least one result corresponding to a verification requirement of the biometric verification process, in response to determining an absence result or a failure result of the verification requirement of the biometric verification process, determining an alternate verification process associated with the portable payment device, determining a verification requirement of the alternate verification process, and transmitting the verification requirement of the alternate verification process to the point-of-sale system. A system and computer program product for validating user credentials in a transaction are also disclosed.

Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for interfacing a computing system to a human user. For example, a computing system may provide a graphical user interface at a display of a user computing device. The user interface may include a positive financial profile indicator at a first position on the display; a negative financial profile indicator at a second position on the display opposite the positive financial profile indicator; and a user financial profile indicator describing a user, the user financial profile indicator positioned between the positive financial profile indicator and the negative financial profile indicator. The computing system may receive user transaction data describing a financial transaction. The computing system may determine that the financial transaction worsens a financial profile of the user. The computing system may also modify the user interface to orient the user financial profile indicator towards the negative financial profile indicator.

Abstract: Methods and systems for user definable prioritization of market information are disclosed. An example method to prioritize market information displayed in a window within a trading interface includes updating the market information displayed in the window at a first frequency, wherein the first frequency is to correspond to a first window priority. The example method also includes, based on a trigger activation, assigning a second window priority to the window, wherein the second window priority is to cause the market information displayed in the window to update at a second frequency, the second frequency different from the first frequency.

Abstract: A system and method for linking to accounts using credential-less authentication that includes: within a first application context at an account-linking computing service: receiving a request to establish an account link, establishing the account link to a user account of an account service using user credentials, and receiving user identifying information of the first application context and storing the user identifying information in association with the account link; and within a second application context at the account-linking computing service: receiving user identifying information of the second application context, searching and identifying a candidate account link using the user identifying information of the second application context, verifying eligibility for access to the account link, and permitting access to the account link upon successful verification of eligibility.

Abstract: A system receives a request for payment of a transaction between a vendor and a consumer, and sends a first request to a database associated with the online service for historical transactions and personal attributes of the vendor concurrently with sending a second request to a number of third-party services for credit information and personal attributes of the consumer. The system receives information responsive to the first and second requests from the database and the third-party services, respectively, and obtains a risk score for the transaction based on an application of one or more risk assessment rules to the received information by a machine learning model trained with at least the historical transactions and the personal attributes of the vendor. In some aspects, the system determines whether to advance funds to the vendor, prior to requesting payment from a consumer account, based at least in part on the risk score.

Abstract: A computer system for selection of data records for forwarding includes one or more data storage devices storing data records including structured and unstructured data, and an analysis hardware server configured to, in cycles, determine sets of data records for predictive model review, extract words and phrases from the unstructured data, apply the predictive model to determine current-cycle scores for the data records of the set, assign the data records to groups in accordance with the current-cycle score, determine a velocity of change in group, and select data records for forwarding to an operation system based at least in part on the determined velocity of change in group.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for data tracing identifiers for tracking data flow through a data model and computing services. An entity, such as company or business, may provide computing services. When providing these services, one or more computing services, processors, or the like of the service provider's computing architecture may be used. This may include processing data through a data processing flow that uses multiple computing services. To automate data tracing through a data processing flow and corresponding computing services, a data library may be used to create and inject data trace identifiers to a message header associated with the data to be processed. This may be propagated with the data to other and/or centralized computing services, which may then persist the identifier with the data in a data table column for a standardized data model. These mappings may be stored by the centralized computing services.

Abstract: Techniques are described for using a supplemental data layer of a real time payments channel to send data. For example, an entity may request a transaction with another entity, and the transaction may be performed using a channel that includes a supplemental data layer. Supplemental data, in addition to the data for the transaction itself, may be communicated using the supplemental data layer to entities involved in the transaction, and/or to third parties. The supplemental data may be sent in real time with respect to the sending of the data for the transaction. In some instances, supplemental data layer is present in one or both directions in the two-way communications between the entities involved in the transaction. The supplemental data layer can be leveraged to provide additional information and/or services to a user involved in the transaction.

Abstract: Systems and methods for intellectual property (IP) asset protection are disclosed. For example, by analyzing characteristic information associated with a user, along with feedback from one or more potential insurers, the system may determine various terms of an insurance policy for protecting the user against claims of IP infringement. The policy may provide for financial reimbursement for costs incurred while taking active measures to mitigate losses and/or defend against such claims. In addition, the system may analyze the characteristic information to identify various users having a low exposure of an infringement claim being asserted. The identified users may be actively targeted to acquire an IP protection policy.

Abstract: A payment processing method and apparatus for using an intermediary platform are described. In one embodiment, the method comprises electronically receiving approval from an intermediary platform associated with a payment processor user of a first authorization request for a first transaction; electronically receiving for approval, at the payment processing system, a second authorization request for a second transaction from a merchant using a payment instrument used by an agent of the service provider; and settling transactions associated with the service provider, including clearing a batch of records corresponding to the service provider on a predetermined time basis by comparing, with a tracking engine of the payment processing system, transaction tracking information associated with authorization requests to net out individual transactions.
