Patent number: 12679403Abstract: Techniques for generating and/or updating a timekeeping mechanism for an ECU are described herein. Monotonic and/or global time sources may be used to generate and/or update a real time clock used by component(s) of an autonomous vehicle. In some examples, a clock manager may receive a monotonic time value from a monotonic clock and a global time value from a global clock. The clock manager may use the monotonic time value and the global time value to generate an adjustment factor. In some instances, the clock manager may store the adjustment factor in a read-only shared memory location. In such instances, vehicle component may determine a predicted current time based on reading the adjustment factor from the shared memory and the monotonic time value. Upon determining the predicted current time, the vehicle component may synchronize a real time clock of the vehicle component according to the predicted current time.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2023Date of Patent: July 14, 2026Assignee: Zoox, Inc.Inventors: Juchan Kim, Aman Sehgal

Patent number: 12675109Abstract: A system may receive a video stream from a camera of a vehicle in a transportation network. The system may also receive an input indicating a steering angle and/or a distance to travel. The system may determine a projected path of the vehicle in the transportation network based on the input. The projected path may be determined using spatial coordinates relative to the transportation network or the camera. The system may then determine, from the spatial coordinates, pixel coordinates in the video stream corresponding to the projected path. The system may display an overlay in the video stream based on the pixel coordinates. The overlay may include a visualization of the projected path.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2023Date of Patent: July 7, 2026Assignee: Nissan North America, Inc.Inventors: Liam Pedersen, Viju James, Mark Fischer, D M Raisul Ahsan

Patent number: 12664527Abstract: Techniques are described for using a supplemental data layer of a real time payments channel to send data. For example, an entity may request a transaction with another entity, and the transaction may be performed using a channel that includes a supplemental data layer. Supplemental data, in addition to the data for the transaction itself, may be communicated using the supplemental data layer to entities involved in the transaction, and/or to third parties. The supplemental data may be sent in real time with respect to the sending of the data for the transaction. In some instances, supplemental data layer is present in one or both directions in the two-way communications between the entities involved in the transaction.
