  • Patent number: 11518424
Abstract: The stair-climbing wheeled carrier has a U-shaped frame defined by a pair of elongated parallel handles and a crossbeam extending between the ends of the handles. Each handle has an axle mount depending therefrom having a star wheel or spider wheel mounted thereon. A dual shaft worm drive motor is mounted on the frame, the shafts driving chain drives connected to the wheels. A throttle extends from one of the handles, and controls leaf springs that operate switches for actuating the reversible motor and returning the throttle to neutral when released. A payload is attached to brackets mounted on the handles. The payload may be a seat for a person needing assistance attending/descending stairs, or a basket for carrying packages or other items upstairs. • Patent number: 11427045
Abstract: A mechanism for clamping a drawbar in a receiver hitch uses a clamp pad to engage two adjacent interior surfaces of the receiver hitch tube. The clamp pad presses outwardly on the receiver hitch tube causing the opposing corner of the drawbar to engage the other sides of the receiver hitch tube. The clamp pad is extended and retracted by a shuttle member disposed inside the drawbar tube. The clamp may be self-aligning with respect to the receiver hitch. An adjustment mechanism is described for translating the shuttle member. An extendable pin mechanism may be actuated by the shuttle assembly. A locking mechanism may be provided to prevent an unauthorized person from releasing the clamp pad and the extendable pin.

  • Patent number: 11370256
Abstract: A hitch tightening pin system is designed to attach a draw bar to a hitch receiver tube and prevent relative motion between the draw bar and receiver tube. The pin system has an elongate tapered shoulder bolt that has a larger and smaller outer diameter with a tapered surface extending between the larger and smaller outer diameter. The system includes an expansion sleeve that has arcuate portions. The expansion sleeve can slide onto the smaller outer diameter with the arcuate portions facing the tapered surface. A nut tightens to move the arcuate portions radially outwardly to apply force to the inside surface of a draw bar. The application of force causes the draw bar to be held tightly to the receiver tube and reduce or eliminate looseness or rattling during use.
