Abstract: The invention presented is an aquatic weight training device that enables weight training in an aquatic environment while allowing eccentric weight training. The inventive device includes at least one hollow bar with hollow weights attached at each end. The end weights each include a plurality of holes that allow a user to fill the end weights under water then controllably empty the end weights while exercising. The end weights may be fixedly or releasably attached to the bar.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an exercise apparatus designed to allow a user to perform a gluteal bridge, typically with resistance, to improve the strength of the user's posterior hip and gluteal muscles. The exercise apparatus is configurable for use in different environments—in a gym, fitness center or training facility, a spa or studio, or a home gym. The exercise apparatus includes a frame assembly, a bench assembly, and a resistance assembly. The bench assembly is pivotally connected to the frame assembly to provide an elevated pivot point about which the bench assembly pivots when the user performs the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly is operably connected to the bench assembly and provides a resistance force that the user overcomes in order to pivotally move the bench through the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly can include a cable, pulley and weight stack, or an elastically deformable band.

Further, the side structures may include support bars that are structurally configured for engagement with a resistance band, where the support bars are located below gripping bars of the dip apparatus. To this end, the present teachings include an exercise system featuring the aforementioned dip apparatus and resistance bands, where a user can engage a resistance band with each of the side structures of the dip apparatus such that a user can place his/her knees on the resistance band for support when performing a dip exercise.

Abstract: The present invention provides exercise attachments for modifying an inclinable weightlifting system using a user's body weight. A pair of vertical support devices providing rigidity and elevate the weightlifting system off the ground to aid in a user mounting and dismounting the system. A pair of adapter arms enable a user to tailor exercise attachments to target specific muscle groups and specific regions of that muscle group. The pair of vertical support device and pair of adapter arms may be incorporated into an inclinable weightlifting system to enable a user to perform various rowing and bench press exercises.
Abstract: A circular block system that comprises of a circular block that has an inner peripheral side and an outer peripheral side, the peripheral sides have the same height. Opposing channels are defined on the outer peripheral sides. Crossing linear channels are defined on the bottom of the circular block. The crossing linear channels connect the opposing channels. Abstract: The sparring arms heavy bag boxing apparatus is a pair of simulated sparring opponent arms as a jab arm and a power arm of different lengths adjustably attached to a heavy bag with a stabilizing weight attached to the bottom of the heavy bag to stabilize the motion of the heavy bag for sparring practice even with out a training partner. The jab and power arms may optionally be weighed. Use of the sparring arms heavy bag boxing apparatus promotes a boxer's capacity to find distance and range with accuracy and precision.
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for performing exercises to strengthen, e.g., the transversus abdominis and related muscles. The systems and methods may involve one or more independent belts, allowing a full range of continuous motion. The systems and methods may further use a resistance-control mechanism that allows a user to adjust the force required to move the one or more belts, thereby controlling the rate of motion in the forward and/or backward directions. Abstract: A gait trainer attachment adapted for use with exercise equipment and a method for using the gait trainer attachment. Embodiments of the gait trainer attachment include a frame, a leg brace, and a compromised limb gait system. The compromised limb gait system attaches the leg brace to the frame and is configured to guide a limb of a user through a simulated gait motion. In aspects, the gait trainer attachment gives an amputee user the ability to use ordinary exercise equipment for rehabilitation and endurance training by providing a leg brace for the compromised limb, a frame designed to attach to exercise equipment, and a connection between the leg brace and frame that guides the compromised limb, thus allowing the user to maintain a biomechanically proper walking motion while exercising.

Abstract: An instructional device for an instructor to use with a student for downhill skiing is disclosed. In use, the instructor skis to the side and behind the student skier. A curved extension member is provided at the end of a shaft and is placed against the student skier's midsection to provide stability and balance for the student. Two student handles can be attached to the extension member. The student handles serve two purposes. The device can be easily converted for use either from the student's right side or left side, depending on the instructor's preference. Second, the student handles can be added as the student progresses to help correctly position the student's hands and develop good posture for the eventual use of ski poles. An instructor handle is located along the shaft. The instructor handle may be adjustable along the length of the shaft.
Abstract: An exercise device comprises a rigid rod having a first and second ends, a plurality of light sources arranged in a row along at least a portion of an axis extending between the first and second ends of the rigid rod, at least one load sensor for detecting an applied longitudinal force, and a processor coupled to the at least one load sensor and to the plurality of light sources. The processor is configured to execute machine-executable instructions that cause the processor to obtain a signal indicating a magnitude of the applied longitudinal force, and cause a subset of the plurality of light sources to emit light. A ratio of a number of light sources in the subset to a total number of the plurality of light sources represents the magnitude of the applied longitudinal force relative to a reference longitudinal force.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention comprise a 4-wheeled resistance training device in the form of a box, wherein a user may add weights to the inside or to the top of the box to increase the resistance provided to the user. The wheels may be connected to the box by one or more threaded axles, each threaded axle existing as two or more parts. Rotation of the threaded axles may power a generator, which may power a light system comprising one or more lights. The light system may provide visual feedback to a user by changing the color and/or intensity of the one or more lights depending on multiple factors. Further embodiments of the invention may comprise a battery for storing energy generated by the generator. Embodiments of the invention may also comprise the ability to store data about a user's workout.
