  • Patent number: 9076408
Abstract: A frame data shrinking method is disclosed. The method is to divide frame data into data of target pixel and neighbor pixels, and select one data combination set from a plurality of data combination sets provided from the data neighbor pixels as encoded data of the target pixel; and the data combination set are to be compressed and recovered as decoded data of the target pixel of the current frame for being used to be compared with the decoded data of a target pixel of a previous frame; and then the data of the neighbor pixels are compressed and stored along with the selection information about the target pixel in a memory. Because the usage of memory is relatively lower, the cost of driving chips can be effectively reduced.

  • Patent number: 9064149
Abstract: Various embodiments provide a method for computing color descriptors of product images. For example, a number of fine color representatives can be determined to describe color variation in an image as a histogram by assigning a saturation value and a brightness value to a plurality of color hues. For each pixel of the image, the closest color among a defined fine color representative set is computed. In this example, each of the pixels is assigned a color ID corresponding to their closest matching fine color representative and at least one family color ID corresponding one or more pure color families. In this example, a histogram of the color representatives and a histogram for the color families are computed. A single color vector descriptor for the image is then determined by combining the family histogram with the color representative histogram.

  • Patent number: 9036901
Abstract: A method for color correction of a pair of colorful stereo microscope images is provided, which transmits the color information of the foreground areas and the background area of the reference image to the aberrated image separately for avoiding transmission error of the color information of the varied areas of the pair of the images, thus sufficiently improves the accuracy of the color correction, reduces the difference between the color of the reference image and the color of the aberrated image, and well prepares for the stereo matching of the pair of colorful stereo microscope images as well as for the three-dimensional reconstruction and three-dimensional measurement; on the other hand, during the correction, the correcting procedure is provided automatically without manual work.

  • Patent number: 8873825
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of digital image processing and can find use in suppression of noise in digital images, formed by high-energy radiation, including X-ray radiation. Specifically, the invention relates to a method for suppression of noise in digital x-ray images. The objective of the invention is to provide a method for noise suppression in digital X-ray images that has extended functionality, specifically, a method that makes it possible to reduce residual noise level and amount of artifacts in the form of discontinuities, directed along local orientation of object borders in textured image areas, to reduce residual LF noise level, and to eliminate over-smoothing (excessive filtering) of fine details. The technical innovation achieved is the improvement of digital image processing quality.
