  • Patent number: 11809593
Abstract: Techniques for finding and associating personal identifying information with an individual. In one embodiment, a method includes searching a database of personal identifying information held by an organization for instances of a particular item of personal identifying information of a data subject. The database may link personal identifying information to locations at which that personal identifying information is held by the organization. After a storage location with a found instance of the particular item of personal identifying information of the data subject is determined, additional personal identifying information of potential relevance to the data subject may be found at the storage location and used for further searching of the database for more personal identifying information of potential relevance to the data subject at other locations. Personal identifying information may be associated with the data subject and included in a data subject profile.

  • Patent number: 11809570
Abstract: A method and apparatus for analyzing side-channel security vulnerabilities in a digital device. A first time sequence of measurements of side-channel related phenomena of the digital device, such as power draw or electromagnetic emissions is obtained. A second time sequence of debug outputs of the digital device, such as program counter contents or other device processor or register states, is obtained. The first time sequence and the second time sequence are obtained based on a common time reference, and thus correlated in time. A controller can provide a common timing signal to measurement equipment obtaining the first time sequence and to a debug tool obtaining the second time sequence, and the common time reference can be correspond to the common timing signal.

Abstract: Operations include determining whether to cache resources accessed by a query based on the execution time of the query. The system identifies a set of executions of a same query. The system determines a cumulative execution time for the set of executions of the same query. If the cumulative execution time exceeds a threshold value, then the system caches a resource used for execution of the query.

  • Patent number: 11803645
Abstract: Embodiments provide a system and method for modeling a shared resource in a multi-layer reasoning graph based on configuration security. During operation, the system can obtain a multi-layer graph for a system with a plurality of components that can include a set of subgroups of components. The system can generate, based on the multi-layer graph, an abstract component to represent a shared resource model for a respective subgroup of components. The shared resource model can be associated with a set of resource constraints. The system can generate a set of values for resource configuration parameters that satisfy the resource constraints. The system can map the shared resource model to a respective component and can then determine, based on the mapping and the set of values for the resource configuration parameters, a set of values for the component configuration parameters thereby facilitating optimization of a security objective function.

  • Patent number: 11797629
Abstract: Techniques for performing outputting additional content associated with but nonresponsive to an input command are described. A system receives input data from a device. The system determines an intent representing the input data and receives first output data responsive to the input data. The system determines, based on context data, that additional content associated with the first output data but nonresponsive to the input data should be output. The system receives second output data associated with but nonresponsive to the input data thereafter. The system then presents first content corresponding to the first output data and second content corresponding to the second output data.

  • Patent number: 11797327
Abstract: A technique is described for managing processor (CPU) resources in a host having virtual machines (VMs) executed thereon. A target size of a VM is determined based on its demand and CPU entitlement. If the VM's current size exceeds the target size, the technique dynamically changes the size of a VM in the host by increasing or decreasing the number of virtual CPUs available to the VM. To “deactivate” virtual CPUs, a high-priority balloon thread is launched and pinned to one of the virtual CPUs targeted for deactivation, and the underlying hypervisor deschedules execution of the virtual CPU accordingly. To “activate” virtual CPUs, the number of virtual CPUs, the launched balloon thread may be killed.

  • Patent number: 11784982
Abstract: A secure content delivery or access method may include coordination among three devices such as servers—a content management server, a delivery server, and an authorization server. A request for content may originate from an authorization server application, and may involve the application obtaining two digitally signed tokens for the request. The first token may be from the authorization server, and may include a content management server identifier for the requested content. The second token may include two identifiers for the content: the first identifier being the content management server identifier, and the second being a delivery server identifier. The first and second tokens may be signed by the authorization server and content management server, respectively, and may be delivered to the delivery server for validation. Successful validation may result in the delivery server providing a content decryption key for the requested content to a device requesting the content.

  • Patent number: 11782882
Abstract: Methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and storage management devices that ingest artifacts from applications. The artifacts are stored on storage tiers using storage providers each configured to interface with one of the storage tiers. Metadata for each of the artifacts is generated and stored in a metadata store. The metadata includes a unique identifier for each of the artifacts associated with a storage location for each of the artifacts on the storage tiers. Configurable expressions of a storage policy are periodically and automatically applied to the metadata to determine when one or more of the artifacts should be migrated. The one or more of the artifacts are migrated from a first storage tier to a second storage tier using first and second storage providers configured to interface with the first and second storage tiers, respectively, when the determination indicates that the one or more of the artifacts should be migrated.

  • Patent number: 11784942
Abstract: An embodiment includes determining, based on historical data associated with a specific task, a baseline bandwidth recommendation for completing the specific task. The embodiment assigns, for a first time period, the specific task to a first computing device on a network. The embodiment allocates, for the first time period based on the baseline bandwidth recommendation, a first baseline bandwidth to the first computing device. The embodiment allocates, for the first time period, a portion of a shared buffer bandwidth as a first buffer bandwidth to the first computing device based on a weight value assigned to the specific task. The first buffer bandwidth combines with the first baseline bandwidth as a first total bandwidth for the specific task. The embodiment throttles, during the first time period, data packets associated with the specific task based on the first total bandwidth for the specific task.
