  • Patent number: 9850649
Abstract: A control plate is provided at a preferred position in a storm overflow chamber. An inflow pipe, an intercepting pipe, and an outflow pipe are connected to the storm overflow chamber. A vortex flow type water surface control device for a draining device includes the overflow chamber, and a control plate arranged in front of an opening portion of the intercepting pipe opening to the storm overflow chamber. A relation (1) 0.5 D?X?0.7 D and 0.83 D?Y?1.5 D holds true, or a relation (2) 0.4 D?X?0.5 D and 1.0 D?Y?1.5 D holds true, where D represents an inner diameter of the opening portion, X represents a projection length of the control plate with respect to the opening portion, and Y represents a distance between the control plate and the opening portion. As a result, contaminants enter the intercepting pipe.

  • Patent number: 9833732
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter for continuous filtration of a suspension under pressure, with a pressure vessel (1), rotating filter elements (2) disposed in the pressure vessel (1), where the filter element (2) passes through one filter cycle for each rotation, with filter zones in liquid and gaseous phase, also with filtrate channels (4?) that are connected between the filter elements (2) and separate filtrate outlets (14, 14?, 215) for each filter zone, as well as a device to control the individual filtrate zones by means of a control disc (44), where the control disc (44) has filtrate outlets (114, 115) for liquid and gaseous phase. It is primarily characterized in that a venting zone (46) is provided before the filtrate outlet of the liquid phase, viewed in the direction of the filter cycle. Thus, the compressed air in the filter elements (2) and filtrate channels (4?) can be carried off and pressure-relieved in a favorable manner.

  • Patent number: 9821275
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system and method for cleaning filters, such as membrane filters. More particularly, a method and system are disclosed for retaining a plurality of small particulates, preferably in the shape of beads, which contact sludge or other despots on the membrane filters to remove unwanted debris that would otherwise form on the cleaning filters. In various embodiments, the plurality of small particulates are retained in a permeable enclosure formed of wedgewire.

  • Patent number: 9550152
Abstract: A system and method for a point of use filtration system with backwash is provided. The system includes a first filtration element, a tank, and a second filtration element positioned downstream from the tank. A first and second valve are each positioned downstream from the first filtration element. A first control line is coupled to a first control switch or a first permeate line and the first valve, and a second control line is coupled to the second control switch or a second permeate line and the second valve. When the point of use demands permeate water, the first and second pressure drops cause the first and second valves to open so water from the tank flows in a reverse direction to backwash the first filtration element and exit through the first and second valves to the drain, while water from the tank simultaneously flows through the second filtration element to the point of use.

  • Patent number: 9523210
Abstract: A device for skimming a pool surface to collect floating debris includes an elongate handle, a hollow body, and a spool on which an elongate continuous length of webbing is wound in a spiral configuration. The spool is housed within the body and the webbing is extendable from the spool through a slot formed in the body and is retractable onto the spool through the slot via spool rotation. The webbing has a proximal end to which an end piece is connected. The end piece is shaped to prevent passage through the slot and has a fastening element for being secured to an edge of a pool structure for removably mounting the end piece to the structure. The handle and body are sufficiently portable and lightweight to enable carrying by hand and ready removability of the entire device from the pool when not in use.
