Abstract: A head for a ball striking device includes a bracing member connected to an upper sole surface located on the sole of the body opposite the bottom sole surface. The bracing member includes a first end connected to a first point on the upper sole surface, a second end connected to a second point on the upper sole surface spaced from the first point, and a bridge portion extending between the first and second ends. The bridge portion extends upward from the upper sole surface and is spaced from the upper sole surface. The bridge portion may be formed by one or more trusses, and may define a generally triangular shape in one embodiment. The first and second ends may be connected to the upper sole surface using a variety of techniques, e.g., welding or other integral joining technique, integral forming, adhesive or other bonding material, or other technique. The location of the bracing member may be determined using a modal analysis to determine a maximum displacement region.

Abstract: A chess set includes two or more chess pieces that have radial symmetry around a vertical axis and having rank-identifying shapes similar to those found in common Staunton style chess pieces. The chess pieces are designed such that at least two of the pieces can intermesh or combine with one another to result in a meshed pair that can be stored in less than 65% of the space that would be required to store the two pieces if stored separately.

Abstract: A game kit having a game board assembled from a plurality of individual tiles is provided. The tiles each have a collapsed position and open to reveal a three-dimensional depiction of an object or location. The tiles are configurable for a plurality of different games by changing game indicia thereon. Players visit the different locations on the assembled game board and look for clues to accomplish tasks toward ending the game by accomplishing one final goal.

An interior surface of this side wall has a draft angle of ?1° or more as it extends to its edge. In some club heads, the interior surface of at least one club head part will be shaped so that the interior surface does not converge as the side wall of that part extends to its edge. For some club head parts, the planar cross sectional area defined inside the interior surface of the part will either stay the same or get larger as one moves to the part edge. By avoiding or limiting features of negative draft angles, converging interior surfaces, and/or smaller cross sectional areas on interior surfaces of a part, manufacturing and tooling may be simplified.

Abstract: Disclosed is a gaming unit for a gaming system, the gaming system comprising the gaming unit and a plurality of playing pieces, each playing piece of the plurality of playing pieces comprising a magnet and having an identifier. The gaming unit comprises: a play zone for arranging one or more playing pieces of the plurality of playing pieces on the gaming unit; a control unit; and a first magnetic unit configured to generate or alter a magnetic field for magnetically affecting one or more playing pieces arranged in the play zone. The first magnetic unit being operationally connected to the control unit. The control unit is configured to detect the identifier of a playing piece arranged in the play zone and responsive to the detection of one more particular identifiers generate a control signal controlling the first magnetic unit to generate or alter a magnetic field thereby magnetically affecting one or more playing pieces in the play zone.

Abstract: The present invention provides a therapeutic game for holistically engaging people who have had a stroke or other brain injury in gross and fine motor skill activities. The therapeutic game is a self-contained set of objects that can be placed on or in a set of targets. Targets can be openings within a container in which to drop or toss the objects. A target can be a daisy support with a base, stem, and receptacle removably attachable to the stem on which or in which an object can be placed. A scoring system can also be used mark progress and to engage the mental powers as well as the physical powers.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a golf club head that comprises a strike face. The strike face has a central region, defined by a forty millimeter by twenty millimeter rectangular area centered on a center of the strike face and elongated in a heel-to-toe direction. Within the central region, the strike face has a characteristic time (CT) of no more than 257 microseconds. Within the central region, no less than 25% of the strike face has a coefficient of restitution (COR) of at least 0.8. Within the central region, no less than 60% of the strike face has a CT of at least 235 microseconds. Within the central region, no less than 35% of the strike face has a CT of at least 240 microseconds.

Abstract: A three dimensional chess game method and apparatus which features four levels, one square, non-playing surface baseboard and four square sub-levels, one quarter the size of the baseboard, adjacent and above the base board at various heights. Sub-levels are divided into sixteen squares, by combining the squares from all of the sub-levels there are sixty-four possible playing positions. The King, queen, bishop and knight acquire three dimensional movement by using the height difference between sub-levels, and using square placement on each sub-levels as equal, when the king, queen, or bishop land on a square on any sub-level, all sub-levels holds a virtual playing piece on that square location. Three dimensional movement is obtained through rotation around center point of the chess board as the piece moves from sub-level to sub-level and X, Y and Z, movements between sub-levels which is utilized by the knight.

Abstract: Described herein is a tour iron having a golf club head with a faceplate, a body, and an insert. A sole, top rail, rear, and the faceplate enclose a cavity within the body. The cavity can house the insert. The insert can comprise a low-density material, allowing weight to be concentrated around the peripheral edge of the golf club head. The rear of the golf club head has an inflection seam running from the heel to the toe. The golf club head has an upper portion, above the inflection seam and a lower portion below the inflection seam. The lower portion can have a depth greater that the upper portion depth. The faceplate, body, and insert can be formed of different materials having different densities. The golf club head has a comparatively high moment of inertia and a low center of gravity. Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a face portion for striking a golf ball and an enclosed interior cavity. A filler material may be inside the interior cavity and may reinforce the face portion. The filler material may include a low density polymer material to enable discretionary mass placement to other areas of the golf club head to improve certain mass properties of the golf club head. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.
