Abstract: An apparatus for communicating health care data from a sender to a receiver is provided. The apparatus has a first computer system, a second computer system, and a rules engine. The first computer system has health care data stored therein. The second computer system is in operable communication with, and is configured to extract the health care data from, the first computer system. The rules engine normalizes the extracted health care data to a predefined format. The rules engine defines a plurality of health care data fields in the predefined format, as well as a plurality of relationships between fields of normalized data.

Abstract: A computer assisted method that enables multiple users with client devices to simultaneously connect via a network to a processor and data storage with computer instructions to use the computer instructions to identify contextual awareness situations, identify contextual awareness compliance specifications, calculate data specifications to meet the compliance specifications, collect raw data related to the contextual awareness, compare the collected raw data with the data specifications to meet compliance specifications, generate a visualization of the contextual awareness for defined time periods including times in the future, and formulate an integrated composite decision plan that accelerates decision making for compliance regarding the contextual awareness by stakeholders.

Abstract: The described concepts relate to automated patient disposition. One example can receive a clinician's disposition for a patient. This implementation can perform parameter-based cluster analysis on the patient and a set of patients to identify a sub-set of the patients with which the patient has a high similarity. This example can also cause a graphical user interface to be generated that conveys parameters from the sub-set of the patients and the patient.

Abstract: A system associates a patient and patient identifier with a medical device and includes an interface. The interface acquires data representing an image of a patient in a care setting and showing a medical device in the vicinity of the patient and acquires data identifying the patient. An image data processor analyzes the acquired data representing the image to identify the medical device type by, analyzing the acquired data to determine a shape of the medical device, comparing the determined shape of the medical device with predetermined template shapes of known device types and identifying the medical device type in response to the shape comparison indicating a shape match. A data processor associates the identified medical device type with the data identifying the patient. An output processor initiates generation of data indicating an association of the identified medical device type with the data identifying the patient.

Abstract: In a plurality of pieces of single report structured data that is stored in a structured database in a diagnosis information database, character information constructing a radiological report describing detailed information of image data is added as metadata for search to the image data. For example, only by designating image data to be read as image (retrieval reference image) data as a reference of retrieval by a reading physician as the user during radiological operation, the character information already added to the retrieval reference image data is set as a keyword. By a keyword search using the metadata, data of a similar image and a related report of the retrieval reference image data are detected from the structured DB.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, historical claim data may be stored in a computer storage unit. The historical claim data may be used to train and verify a predictive model, the predictive model being associated with an evaluation of claim transactions to determine whether to refer each claim transactions to a nurse intervention program. Data for current claim transactions may be processed, and the trained and verified predictive model may be applied to the data for the current claim transactions to generate a respective output for each of the current claim transactions. Some of the current claim transactions may be selectively routed to a case management center associated with the nurse intervention program based on the outputs generated by the predictive model.
