  • Patent number: 11801879
Abstract: A system for modeling risk of rail buckling in railroad infrastructure is presented. The system can receive a myriad of data related to railroad tracks and/or railroad operations, and weight the data using specially-designed weighting factors that can be unique to each data type. The weighted data can be transformed via specialized algorithms to generate location scores reflective of a risk isolated to a particular area. The system can further utilize additional specialized algorithms to elucidate how such isolated risk can be extrapolated from one location to another. The system can implement a multilayer approach, formulating one or more layers of risk models and aggregating such models into an overarching risk model that can more-accurately forecast risk of rail buckling in a railroad track.

  • Patent number: 11795818
Abstract: The present invention relates to a technique for identifying geological and drilling patterns by analyzing data from drilling parameters, using periodic orthogonal functions applied to such data. The use of averages to convert time data to depth data acts as a low-pass filter, attenuating the textural information from the torque data. Therefore, with the use of simple statistical filters combined with the use of multidimensional data visualization methods, it is possible to discretize drilling and geological patterns in the depth data acquired, aiding in the characterization of the top of the pre-salt carbonate reservoir, minimizing the geological and engineering risk in these operations.

  • Patent number: 11796518
Abstract: An evaluation section identifies, in a list of candidate compounds, a group of candidate compounds having the degree of reverse similarity greater than or equal to a threshold s1. When all candidates in the group of candidate compounds have differences between the degrees of similarity that are greater than or equal to a threshold s2, the evaluation section judges that there is a composite state. The difference between the degrees of similarity is computed by subtracting the degree of forward similarity from the degree of reverse similarity. The similarity ratio may be used in place of the difference between the degrees of similarity.
