  • Patent number: 11120450
Abstract: Techniques are described for determining account features based on a risk assessment. A first set of account features may be determined, including security feature(s) such as mode(s) for authenticating and/or verifying the identity of a user associated with account(s). Based on the first set of features, a risk metric may be determined for the account(s). The risk metric may indicate a risk that fraud may be committed against the account or using the account. Based on the determined risk metric, a second set of account features may be determined for the account(s). The first and second sets of account feature(s) may be applied to the account(s). Disabling a particular feature may cause a reevaluation of the risk metric and a redetermination of the feature sets to be applied to the account(s).

  • Patent number: 11080707
Abstract: Logic may detect fraudulent transactions. Logic may determine, by a neural network based on the data about a transaction, a deviation of the transaction from a range of purchases predicted for the customer, wherein the neural network is pretrained to predict purchases by the customer based on a purchase history of the customer. Logic may compare the deviation of the transaction from purchases predicted by the customer against a deviation threshold to determine whether the transaction is within the range of purchases predicted by the neural network. Logic may generate a notification in response to a determination that the deviation of the transaction from the range of purchases predicted exceeds a deviation threshold, the notification to identify the transaction as a potentially fraudulent transaction. Logic may train the neural network based on the transaction in response to a determination that transaction is not a fraudulent transaction.

  • Patent number: 10268691
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining modeled roof age of a structure is provided. Such methods comprise identifying a target structure for which an estimated roof age is desired, receiving data related to the target structure in computer-readable form, and inputting the data related to the target structure into a generalized linear model to determine a Per-Property Modeled Roof Age of the target structure. The modeled roof age preferably accounts for (i) the height of the trees, (ii) the proximity of the trees to the target structure, and (iii) the weather conditions for the structure's geographic location. Such methods can be applied in practice by substituting a typically inaccurate reported roof age with a more realistic modeled roof age in making homeowners insurance decisions.

  • Patent number: 10198768
Abstract: A routing device for routing an electronic order data message is provided. A storage medium stores a routing table and a transceiver communicates with a first set of computing nodes, a first electronic trading platform, and a second set of electronic trading platforms. An electronic order data message and an updated financial data message feed are accepted at the routing device. The marketable or non-marketable operation state of the electronic order data message is determined from the updated financial data message feed. The electronic order data message is then routed based on a selected routing strategy and a selected destination address. A non-marketable operation state routes the electronic order data message to the first electronic trading platform. A marketable operation state routes the electronic order data message to at least one of the second set of electronic trading platforms.
