  • Patent number: 12157135
Abstract: A portable variable volume paint spray enclosure or booth includes a frame assembled from longitudinal members and detachable clamps. The clamps secure together adjacent ends of the longitudinal members. The paint spray enclosure further includes a flexible cover disposed upon the frame such that a relatively air tight enclosure having a predetermined configuration is formed. The assembled frame and flexible cover extend from grade level to a predetermined elevation to encase an object to be painted. The paint spray enclosure also includes an air flow input apparatus for allowing air flow into the enclosure, and an air extraction apparatus/air scrubber for removing air from the enclosure, such that air mixed with vaporized paint inside the enclosure is removed from the enclosure before the paint vapor and air combine to form an explosive mixture, thereby preventing an explosion and/or fire from occurring inside the enclosure, and preventing operators from being exposed to harmful fumes.

  • Patent number: 12120832
Abstract: A member of the present invention is to be placed to cover a ventilation hole in order to allow passage of gas between an outside and an inside of a housing through the ventilation hole of the housing and prevent dust and/or a liquid from entering the inside from the outside through the ventilation hole. The member of the present invention includes a porous membrane having air permeability in a thickness direction and a provisional protective film joined to the porous membrane to cover the porous membrane from the outside side. The provisional protective film is air-impermeable in a thickness direction or has lower air permeability in the thickness direction than the air permeability of the porous membrane. The provisional protective film and the porous membrane are joined to each other in such a manner that the provisional protective film is removable from the porous membrane.

  • Patent number: 12115543
Abstract: Exhaust nozzles for outflow valves (OFVs) that are usefully employed in aircraft pressurization systems include an upstream solid (e.g., cylindrical) wall section and a downstream solid exhaust wall section fixed to the upstream solid wall section. The downstream solid exhaust wall section includes a circumferential portion defining a series of air intake perforations. A pair of vortex generators may also be provided upstream of the series of air intake perforations. The air intake perforations and optional vortex generators thereby allow air from the ambient pressure environment to be introduced into the boundary layer of pressurized air discharged by the OFV in the interior of the perforated region of the downstream solid exhaust wall section of the nozzle thereby reducing adverse pressure gradients therewithin which in turn results in a more attached air flow and hence less perceived noise.
