Abstract: A power transmission device is capable of switching the rotation direction of a drive shaft between positive rotation and negative rotation as power is transmitted to the drive shaft from a drive source via the power transmission device. To cause positive rotation of the drive shaft, only the positive rotation belt is tensed by the belt switching means, and rotation from the positive rotation drive pulley is transmitted to the drive shaft via the positive rotation shaft. To cause negative rotation of the drive shaft, only the negative rotation belt is tensed by the belt switching means, and rotation from the negative rotation drive pulley is transmitted to the drive shaft via the negative rotation shaft.

Abstract: A gap with a predetermined size is formed between adjacent links arranged in a chain width direction, the size of the gap is set smaller than a maximum warpage amount of the links.
Abstract: A dispenser, for dispensing a wound dry sheet of paper (F) made of tissue paper, comprising: a cylindrical body; support elements, lying approximately in the same plane P, for resting the dispenser on a horizontal plane; a slot in the cylindrical body for the sheet of paper (F) to exit; a guiding element for guiding the sheet of paper (F) outside the cylinder, associated with said slot, comprising two mutually parallel planes. According to the invention, the two planes are curved, in that the distance E between them is greater than twice the thickness Ep of the sheet of paper (F) and in that the length L of the guiding element, measured along the direction of pay-out of the paper, is equal to or greater than twice a minimum length Lm.
Abstract: When performing kick down, during re-acceleration after decelerating, the engine sometimes races unnecessarily, and a smooth acceleration feeling is not obtained. During control by a kick down mode, when accelerating after a throttle has been fully closed, a control target value is set so as not to pass to a Low side of a limit value of the control target value used during re-acceleration. As a result, racing of the engine is inhibited.
Abstract: A bicycle sprocket is provided with a sprocket body and a chain engagement structure. The chain engagement structure includes sprocket teeth defining chain rollers receiving troughs. At least two consecutive ones of the troughs include a driven-side surface and a non-driven-side surface. The driven-side surfaces each have a first chain roller contact points corresponding to a first radius of a first minimum contact circle when one of the chain rollers is positioned to fittingly contact the driven-side surface. The non-driven-side surfaces each have a second chain roller contact points disposed at a second position corresponding to a second radius of a second minimum contact circle when one of the chain rollers is positioned to fittingly contact the non-driven-side surface. The first radius is larger than the second radius. The driven-side surfaces have effective concavities that are equal to or less than the curvatures of the chain rollers.
Abstract: A machineroom-less elevator in which a counterweight is vertically moved behind a cage, with the cage and the counterweight being suspended in a jig back manner through a first and second diverting sheaves. In this machineroom-less elevator, a sufficiently large vertical stroke of the counterweight can be secured, while a durability of a hoist rope is improved. In addition, since no tensile difference is generated in respective parts of the hoist rope, vertical vibrations of the cage are prevented when the cage restarts a vertical movement. A traction sheave is disposed on one of right and left sidewalls of an elevator shaft. A first diverting sheave is disposed below and sufficiently apart from the traction sheave, and a second diverting sheave is disposed on a top of a rear wall of the elevator shaft.
Abstract: A support system for use on mast climbing scaffolding systems comprising a plate system with integral fastening components that attach along outer edges of a horizontal surface of the scaffolding assembly is herein disclosed. The system is utilized to mount a hoisting device to lift building tools, supplies and materials. The system may be folded thereinto a compact configuration for transport between job sites.
Abstract: A large mobile crane includes a revolving superstructure, a main boom hinged to the superstructure, and a derrick boom hinged to the superstructure. A modular counterweight system includes a traveling counterweight and a non-traveling counterweight connected to a crossbeam suspended from the distal end of the derrick boom so that the non-traveling counterweight is activated before the traveling counterweight.
Abstract: A transmission belt for driving and/or supporting an elevator car has a longitudinally extending body including an area tensile layer reinforced by chemical fibers. The belt can have a flat friction layer or a friction layer including alternating longitudinally extending wedge-shaped ribs and grooves. Transverse grooves can be formed across the width of the longitudinally grooved friction layer.
Abstract: A tensioner comprising a base having a shaft, a pivot arm engaged with the shaft, a pulley journalled to the pivot arm, an arcuate damping member frictionally engaged with a pivot arm inner surface, a torsion spring having a first end engaged with the pivot arm, the torsion spring having a second end bearing upon the damping member so that upon loading of the torsion spring in the unwinding direction the damping member is compressed between the second end of the torsion spring and the base thereby causing a normal force to be imparted upon the pivot arm by said damping member.
Abstract: The invention relates to a coreless roll including of a sheet made of dry flexible material, such as an absorbent fibrous material, that is formed by the rolling of a sheet around a winding axis characterized in that it includes a center-feed (center unwinding) first strip forming a projection along the axis in relation to at least one part of the plane of one of the sides of the roll. In particular, this first strip is constituted by a portion of the internal end of the sheet constituting the roll. The first internal turn is thus permitted to unwind, even if the center opening is reduced.
Abstract: A drive belt includes an endless belt body made of an ethylene-?-olefin elastomer composition and a cord embedded in the belt body to form a spiral at a specified pitch in a widthwise direction of the belt.
