Abstract: A catcher bag for ground tending machine such as a power lawn mower. The catcher bag is constructed of biodegradable perforated paper and replaces an O.E.M. fabric catcher bag. The disclosed catcher bag can mount on a variety of O.E.M. catcher bag frames of O.E.M. rear discharge lawn mowers, and greatly eases the effort of collecting and disposing of lawn clippings and leaf debris by eliminating labor-intensive, cumbersome, and often messy/dusty steps in transferring debris from a fabric catcher bag into a standard paper lawn refuse disposal bag.

Abstract: A feeding apparatus includes a placement unit on which a recording material is to be placed, a feeding rotating member, a regulating plate, a detecting unit, and a control unit. The feeding rotating member feeds the recording material placed on the placement unit. The regulating plate regulates a position of an upstream end of the recording material placed on the placement unit in a direction of feeding by the feeding rotating member. The detecting unit detects a size of the recording material from a position of the regulating plate. The control unit changes duration of execution of a recording-material feeding operation performed by the feeding rotating member based on the size of the recording material detected by the detecting unit and a size of the recording material specified in advance by a user.
Abstract: A tire rain protector made of a mushroom shaped polymer body having a reverse taper male thread formed thereon having a threadform with three varying geometric parameters. The thread thickness, thread height, and thread crest width all increase from the top of the tire rain protector body to the bottom of the body. These three features along with a thread that begins at the underside of the cap enable for a device that is easy to install and forms a secure tight seal on a tire. When installed, this dome-like device diverts rain from collecting into the concave liner (inner sidewalls) of a horizontally stacked tire.
Abstract: A series of elastic break brakes are provided throughout a travel path of elastics in a machine operation. Elastic strands thread through each individual brake mechanism, and if an elastic strand breaks downstream, a natural snap back of the elastic, which ordinarily travels through the system under tension, drives an immediately upstream cam mechanism back, and holds the elastic thread in place at the elastic break brake immediately upstream of the break as to minimize rethreading required downstream of the elastic break brake.

Abstract: A method for demonstrating a new scientific discovery made by the inventor about the nonlinear instability of vehicles, like aircrafts, automobiles and ocean vehicles. Said method includes a model and a three-gimbaled framework that permits said model to respond to inertial moments about the axes of which the moments of inertias are the smallest and the largest, wherein said model has restoring and damping capabilities along these two axes. Said method also comprises how to use a variable motor or a crank for controlling said model rotational motions about the intermediate principal axis of inertia with closed form formulas for the external driven frequencies and amplitudes to be used to excite the nonlinear instabilities of said model. Said model could be an aircraft, an automobile, a ship, or even a rectangular block.

Abstract: An improved floor mat apparatus is a low profile, rectangular, shoe cleaning apparatus that has an inner volume with two spaced apart rollers mounted within the inner volume that an elongated mat with the ends joined together forming a continuous loop, travels around. A motor turns a first roller and the second roller adjusts to remove slack to tighten the mat. The top surface of the housing is open to expose the mat for cleaning shoes upon. When the mat becomes dirty, the rollers turn via a button located on a panel situated adjacent to one end of the mat and a removable collection chamber at one end of the mat collects debris and helps remove dirt from the mat via a vibrator and brush.
Abstract: A railcar hatch control system and method for operating railcar hatches of a multi-railcar train is disclosed. A multi-railcar train may have a locomotive and a plurality of railcars having railcar hatches that can be opened and closed. The system and method may include displaying railcar identification information for the railcars on an operator display device, and receiving selections of railcars from an operator that will have a railcar hatch operation performed thereon, such as opening or closing the hatches. The railcar hatch operation is input, and the system and method control the railcar hatch operation being performed only on the selected railcars, and not on the railcars that have not been selected by the operator. The system and method may have operator interfaces devices at an operator station of the train, or at a remote location or on a remote device that communicates wirelessly with the train.

Abstract: The purpose of this process is to remove the human contact of fabric in assembling products and producing clothing faster without several stations of production in different locations in the factor. In the past, a typical factor would sew individual pieces at one station and pass them along to different stages in the assembly process until its completed. However, this process is meant to eliminate it, improve efficiency, and productivity. This process will not include any human contact with fabric, less time in production, and the removal of products in different stations. The benefits of this enable a company to produce what they need as needed, instead of producing a factor's minimum. Furthermore, this process shortens the lead time to bring products to market faster. Finally, this process helps with cash-flow, which is essential in any business especially in manufacturing.
Abstract: The invention relates to a mechanical test fixture used in a machine tool to inspect its positioning, squareness, parallelism, and circularity. The fixture body has two mountable heads that provide machine areas for inspection. The fixture body has one tooling hole that locates the assembly in a CNC machine and in a CMM. The tooling hole serves as one datum point or origin for setup. The flatness of the fixture body and the witnessed face provide repeatable setup results. The fixture body has two feet on its outer legs for fastening to any CNC machine and CMM table. The test fixture qualifies a machine tool by providing a machinable square head and a machinable round head fixed on a fixture body.
Abstract: An animal leash handle wrap comprises a wrap component made in two halves, each half having a lower leash tunnel portion and an upper handle wraparound wing portion. The latter includes a pair of hook-and-loop fastener (i.e., Velcro®) strips on opposed sides and at opposite ends for looping about an existing leash handle and reconnecting to itself. The two tunnel portions are joined together, preferably by sewing, to form the tunnel/track through which a leash clasp/hook is fed when installing onto an existing pet leash. Methods for making and using this handle wrap are also disclosed.
Abstract: In a printing apparatus, a first tray is capable of stacking a sheet discharged from a discharge port. A second tray is accommodated in a lower side of the first tray and is capable of stacking the sheet discharged from the discharge port by being drawn out in a sheet discharging direction from the discharge port. The controller controls a drive current flowing through a winding of the motor to reduce phase deviation. The discriminator executes a discrimination regarding one of whether a front end of a sheet has reached a nip portion and whether a rear end of the sheet has passed through a nip portion. The controller controls such that the first conveying roller rotates at a first conveying roller peripheral velocity which is different from a peripheral velocity of the second conveying roller. The discriminator executes the discrimination based on a value of a parameter corresponding to a load torque applied to the rotor where the first conveying roller rotates at the first conveying roller peripheral velocity.
